yeah to me it's just another example of a system that was never meant to benefit the majority of black people...only the chosen few...that article was a great piece thought....

I feel you, but Blacks weren't meant to start or be successful in businesses of any kind. So it's not really surprising they're not going super hard for marijuana businesses. We're highly under represented in everything from or education success to our careers. Not very many of us even want to own a business let alone actually fathom it or bring it to fruition. But it's like I tell my cousins when they say there's no jobs for them, to make their own. They complain about all the smoke shops being owned by middle eastern people but they don't even consider opening their own smoke shop. Or consider that if more black people did this more black customers would go to black owned businesses and start their own businesses and the middle eastern a won't have customers. They don't see this or that it's pretty cheap to do and when you have a family and none of you guys have jobs it makes sense to start up yourselves. But everything's easier said than done and some people just don't have the mindset to get it done.
