    We got lara (sp) croft.
    Riggly from the aliens.
    Utra violet.
    Chick in kill bill.
    La fem (sp) Nikita.
The agent chick in the avengers.
    Wonderwoman.
    She-ra. (cartoon)
    Supergirl.
Ace fighter pilot, kick-butt chick in latest past t.v. series of battlestar galactica.
    Women of 'crouching tiger'.

Even the 'crime-fighting' tough cop t.v. shows, no
    black women.
    All your anime action movies.

    What's the deal with that?
    Thoughts?

    Don't forget Halle Berry's "Catwoman".

    Tina Turner. Mad Max.

Grace Jones and Halle Berry. James Bond.

    Few and far between, yes.

It's been a while, but Pam greer had several also, as well as the female who played in cleopatra jones back in the day. One of my favorites to this day was/is [IMG].

There have been a few, but i think hollywood is scared of black woman which is why for most of them to survive in hollywood and live a descent life they have to have a white boy on there arm.

Can't forget about Set It Off, yeah it was not a positive framed look at females out for justice...just them, but they kicked butt.

Why we want White folk to portray us at all is a whole other question.

I get that we are consuming his propaganda ergo it should be positive propaganda; yet that has so many problems in and of itself.

Firstly, should we consume his propaganda?

Secondly, understanding that we do, should we want his propaganda to be more consumable?

Thirdly, can White folk portray us positively?

Like for instance, "kick butt action roles" is more from White History than Black History. Not that we don't have Sisters who kick butt--Amazons, Generals, Queens say otherwise--but the idea of problem solving being a matter of blood and steel seems like something I'd prefer Whites keep for themselves.

Kicking White butt I can understand. But kicking butt to kick butt, na we can pass on that.

Zoe..., okay. I missed her largely, because I don't much care for her.

Tina turner, I would say she portrayed a diabolical role. Her
character did a one point have to 'bow down' to "masterblaster".
    Catwoman; yes.

Those bond girls, okay. They weren't the lead action stars though, and
that is what I was thinking. Such as a lara croft, riggly, the "kill bill" chick.

Perhaps I didn't articulate more clear what I meant, but its cool.

It's all good. One of my links was in regards to Sanaa Lathan. Alien v. Predator.

Zoe Saldana. Columbiana. That was a good flick.

    Synopsis:
A young woman grows up to be a stone-cold assassin after witnessing her parents' murder as a child in Bogota. She works for her uncle as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target - the mobster responsible for her parents' death.
