    I don't really have any "favorites" but here are some of the ones I like...

    Barry White
    Bootsy Collins
    Isley Brothers
    Gerald Levert
    Michael Jackson (pre-Thriller album)
    Dwale (sp), the dude that sang the hook for "Flashing Lights" w/ Kanye West

    I don't really pay attention to their lyrics, but I do enjoy their rythmic/melodic tones and the instrumentals to their songs help me to think constructively.
