Was it the same people who told us Fidel Castro is an evil dictator? Was it the same people who told us Saartje Baartman voluntarily allowed them to parade her around Europe naked in a cage? Or maybe it wass the same people who told us the Native Americans were heathen headhunters who went around scalping innocent pilgrims?

Now that we have accepted this idea that our ancestors sold us into slavery as a "fact" the white man is trying to absolve himself from having anything to do with slavery. Hey we were just there. Yawl sold each other since you needed the money. We just obliged you.

The distorted his story fed to us by our oppressors has gone unquestioned for too long. The question we need to ask is not why the Africans sold us but how do we know they did.

i understand your frustration with this age old question, but think about it,how far do you think those slavetraders would have gotten without help from the inside,i'm afraid it's true africans who had been captured during wars between tribes were sold to the whites,it's been documented by black scholars too.

    Hey brotha oldiesman,

What are some samples of this documentation? It is very common practice with whites to legitimize a lie by putting a black face on it. Where did these Black scholars get their information?

well it does not mean that all Afrikans helped but some did. Whites are still the primary culprits ,but SOME blacks did assistJust like today when Rodney King was Beaten a few spineless black wimps sat their and watched. Some blacks are assisting in the destruction of the Arab world right now!!

But do they represent the whole??Hello no!! What the crackas are doing is trying to say we are to blame, wellwe arenot.Ifblacks didnt help,.they wouldhave still kidnapped some of us.

I mean look at Africa now,a few greedy sick dictators are selling the resources of the continent to the pink, and chinese, and arabs. These few rich weak minded turn coats hardly represent the entire black populace. But they are just enough to keep blacks subjigated, the worthless bastards bshould be killed and burried next to their white greedy bretheren!!

if westopcutting each others throat we willrule the world, but gred stops that.Whites do the smeto each other!! Look at how russians are treated by their government, what about asians in Mayamar ect. Its a human thing not a race thing.

    Peace warrior

    Ancient historical documentation needed

Never forget these facts: 1.) those who refused to bring slaves, were themselves enslaved. 2.) Eventually, the whiteman had no use even for those who were FORCED to bring them slaves, and so the whiteman went in and slaughtered and enslaved the slaving tribes. It's called Colonialization. I can't find one ancient historical document stating that Africans sold other Africans, gosh, there should be THOUSANDS of them. Has anyone ever came across one of these ancient historical documents? If so, could you please provide a link/source to these ancient historical documents.

While I believe some revisionists skew our history and reality, there's no doubt that SOME of our continental brethren assisted the transatlantic slave trade. During such turbulent times, anything could have transpired. The newest internet rumor is that the trans-atlantic (American) slave trade never occured!

Apparently, no one wants to take full credit or the blame for the slave trade. I've heard all the various versions, each contradicting the others. So I resort to common sense. These white men had to travel across thousands of miles of rough seas, with small food rations, a small crew. Undoubtedly losing some men to illness, and at times getting lost at sea. They couldn't have arrived on the continent of Africa in tip top shape. They actually built ports to hold the subject slaves for debarkation (who built them?). The ships could only hold so many slaves, and carry enough stores to make the trip that took months (where did they get their stores and fresh water from?). These white men could not have known where to capture these prospective slaves and do so without resistance, and replenish their stores for the return trip.(who helped them catch the slaves?) I hope no one thinks the slaves volunteered to join the slave ships.

Sure the white men had some weapons and used some trickery. But how long could that work against a resisting people? They would have never seen the continent of America again, if the Africa men decided to put up a fight. There would have been millions of Africans fighting against a handful of white men. Those white men would not have had a chance in hell of making the first tranaction, without the help and guidance and betrayal of our African brothers. It's just plain old common sense. Put yourself in their place.

Also, from some of the accounts I've read, only four percent of all the slaves came to America. So the other ninety six percent went elsewhere. South America had a even larger slave trade. It's estimate to have been twelve and a half million blacks enslaved throughout the diaspora, with about a half a million coming to the US.

of worthy mention: African tribes that conquered another tribe kept "slaves" - long before the euro got there. "sold into slavery".. hmmm.. we kept some women and children from defeated tribes... thus 'slavery' by marriage, adoption, parentage even.. and the men, we 'traded' to neighbouring tribes. It wasnt feasable to keep hardened men in 'the tribe of the conqueror' for many reasons.

rules of warefare included respect - oaths - moral obligations - etc

the euro, who had been selling their own sons and daughters off for lives of servitude/slavery since the begining of time - capatlized on this basic, yet extreme cultural difference.

anything non euro - to this day - is considered barbaric. Is it really? Was it?
Every record will show how the euro arrived and was amazed by the hospitality of the locals (africa or america or wherever) and immediately, the euro turned to abuse it.

I know that didnt answer you question, sister river. I just feel strongly about the disregard for cultural differences which I feel likely played a large role in the beginning of this entire spiral.
