This is one of the best political cartoons ever created. Written by a relatively young black man, Aaron McGruger. This comic features the stories of 2 black kids (one a pro-black activist, the other a hip-hop gansta wannabe) that move from the South Side of Chicago with their grandfather to an all white neighborhood in Maryland. The weekly newspaper comic strip is often critical of the Bush administration, the war in Iraq, racism, etc. At times this strip is so "controversal" it is suspended for weeks at a time, if not banned all together. Even if you don't like newspaper comics or cartoons, I think everyone would appreciate the humor & insight that this brotha puts out.

I love this comic! Huey is so... raw.. so real... When I grow up, I wanna be just like him! LOL.......... Okay, maybe my next husband can be just like him...... If all else fails, I'm hoping my son will develop a great sense of Black pride.

Teach him when he's young Toylin......to have self-pride & self-respect. Our history is a wonderful one.....when it is taught properly, there is much to be proud of.

For now give your son Afrocentric toys to play with. Let him listen to black music, and buy black TV programs for him. When he goes to school and starts studying history, teach him black history along with US history.
