Salaam Family, Here's another poem submitted for you to critique: If you could see through the Eyes of God While maintaining your own Perception of Reality What would you see? Anyone so blind to the reality of the Time As to believe in what they can’t see Or dispute what We can’t do. Too foolish for the Labor of Truth Hard life ... No luck And so the Youth thinks, “why give a f...?” Fourteen generations tougher. Gott’em fearful of Our Energy The Black God rougher than they want’cha to think. Too aggressive when We Speak. “There’s no one bad enough to f... with me!” Quick to clique-up with a clique of nig..’s, “f... the police!” If you could project yourself into the Future While occupying space in the infinite present Where would you Be? If Reality isn’t what Is But instead, “What We think is real” A threat perceived is a threat with which We must deal. To be a king is to first think Above and beyond the Wildest dreams; Of any and all whom you may Perceive To be a threat to that which your people needs. To be a man is to recognize The sovereignty of a godly mind To understand truths so long forgotten Six millenniums old ... A Vacuum in Time. To bring Allah to Remembrance Remembering Self! Take a look through your own eyes Realize your own rise. See yourself however you will But understand that your Worth lies... In the Depths of your own mind. And for real ... The only gift We’ve really got to give Is a better Reality or way to live. If you could see through the Eyes of God Would all be chaos or total control? Would you smile at the latest styles Or frown on a person’s clothes? Who knows but the God who Knows?
