Who Are You, Really?

Eye did not know how smart I am until you tried to make me feel dumber than you;

Eye did not know how brave I am until you tried to make me feel fearful of you;

Eye did not know how bright my light shines until you tried to replace my light with your darkness;

Eye did not know how world famous I am until you tried to steal my legacy for yourself;

Eye did not know how spiritual is my soul until you tried to beat religion into my body;

Eye did not know how beautiful I am until Eye took a glimpse at how ugly you are;

Eye did not know I was the salt of the earth until you tried to remove my flavor;

Eye did not know how creative Eye am until you burned my cities

Eye did not know Eye could float until you flooded my cities

Eye did not know how alkaline Eye am until Eye stopped drinking your poisoned water.

Eye did not know how resilient Eye am until you lynched me

Eye did not know how rich Eye am until Eye became a $2 trillion dollar spender...

You have no history
You have no soul
You have no conscious
You are not civilized
You are not even human

Who are you, really?
