Black People : Which Day Are You?

"Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child must work for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay."

(another version says)

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

This is an old nursery rhyme.

But I'm wondering if you or anyone you know fits the description for the day of the week they were born on?

I do not believe that you came on here with this infantile Cracker sheeit !!! We may as well just open the doors and say "howdy neighbors!!"...and for your information, these days of the week are all named after some white peoples Gods.

yes

I was born on a Saturday.

i picked sunday because i KNEW you going on with the sabbath thing
somehow lol

But the child that's born on the Sabbath day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay."

I was born on a Saturday; but according to some, Saturday is the 7th day and therefore, the "sabbath."

So, I'm not sure how to call it.

Of course, this poem is not literal
understatement :help:

and you had the nerve to say i was only relevant for a laugh

boy you sure don't see reflections well lol

This is really not that serious.

It's just a nursery rhyme. There is no sinister, hidden, underlying "causal" evil attached here.

Please note that I even placed it under "Chit-Chat."

But, if you wanna give a dissertation on each day of the week and the Greek and Roman gods, then please do so.

And when you get through with THAT, you can also cover the Greek and Roman origins of January, February, March, May, June, July, and August.

And when you get through with THAT, you can cover the Latin origins of April, September, October, November, and December.

And when you get through with THAT, I feel confident that you will find something else to rant about from one of my posts.

I was born on the 7th of January on a Tuesday. I have read many interesting things about the day or the number 7. I've heard it is a blessed number. The 7th of January is also Ethiopia 's Christmas.I'm quite certain what it is, but I know that I can't stop loving no matter how I fight it; There's a fountain in me that overflows uncontrollably. I've learned to just go with it.
