I had to stop and wonder
    Beneath the rain and thunder
    Where is your heart?
One man to worship and adore
ya. A young one that can't get
    enough of ya.
    But one is never enough!
Trying so hard to sort out the
    mess, that started as harmless
    flirting.
    Where is your heart?
    Been married and abandoned
    Raised children alone
    Worked hard for da man
And working even harder for myself.
But this Playa's game got to be put
    on da shelf.
    Where is your heart?
I love the man I married , he is still
    a precious friend.
    A life time sustained relationship
is not so easy to end.
My lova is my salvation he is like affirmation
everyday...Making me feel all my womanhood
    but then he goes away????????????????
Daily new request are made to share my heart
or share my bed...Got me all frazzled in the
    head.
    Where is your heart?
    It's beating an erratic beat
That makes me feel so strange
If time has come to make a change
Then God show me how to rearrange.
But, my husband is no longer my husband
    six years we been divorce.
He still brings his taxes to me
And I still do them of course
    He comes to family functions
    Whenever he finds the time
    My mom loves him dearly
But swears he screwed up his
    time....
    Where is your heart?
All this love keeps flowing, and my sista
    says that's what's showing and that's
    what attracts people to me.
That's all well and good, but are they
    really there for me.
Where is your heart , I ask myself?
    I don't know
I need to think through it!

The assumption that we can only love one is to me an archaic notion seated in fiction. But the reality that to love more than one and get caught doing so is tremendously painful for all involved is a time proven truth. But still we ask “what to do, what to do”
I have some idea’s but until all is said and done I cannot validate it’s course.

    Thank you for reading!

I will follow the fates where they lead.
I don't proclaim to be perfect nor have all the
answers but that is the joy and beauty of it.
The ever changing dynamics of relationships,
    emotional turmoil to sweet bliss!
There is a plethora of areas in between.
We all have as they say, six degree's of seperation...
    with the other fellow!
    Blessings on Ya House!

Sooooo like the Phoenix we will rise again!

Yes, dear Soj'a that is true and I was married for 17 years faithfully and seperated and finally divorced. I gave my best
I gave my all. And that was not enough. How do we save our
families? We must learn to forgive the Black husbands, daddys
baby-daddy's in and out of our lives. So the next generation
does not make the same mistake. We rekindle the spirit of
reconcilitation and work out our personal "ISSUES" so that
we can rebuild healthy and strong families 'ONCE MORE'.
IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT...YOU WILL NEVER ACHIEVE IT!
    BLESSINGS ON YA HOUSE!

    * THIS IS AN OPEN FORUM PEOPLE ....I WON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL
YOU MAY HELP IN SOME WAY!

I know exactly what you mean. There are those among us who draw us by their loving ways. And I'm understanding the confusion this can bring to a tender, giving heart. You must take care of it. I love your poetry, my sista.

    I find that in transformation

I ask this more often than not.

Pray and wait. If you believe that God has answered but not sure about the sincerity or the heart of the person...ask God for confirmation. Believe me, He will answer. It may or may not be what YOU WANT...but God has our/your best interests at heart.

What He has for us is sooooooo much more than what we could ever imagine. And let me tell you sis, what I imagine is someone God fearing, spiritual, committed, loving, nurturing, supportive, non-judgemental, good looking etc., etc

Now...if you can imagine someone better than that well...:uhoh:

    NOTHING'S impossible with GOD!!!

    bless you!!
