I'm from a place were not even history books can recollect,
A place were black men, women and children were victims of disrespect.
    .....Over 15,000 to exact,
A part of history that was extract.
They were left homeless and thousands were killed,
All because of their prosperous community they fullfilled.

All black restaurants, grocery stores and even banks,
Were examples of successful buisnessess that were in high ranks.
Their churches, private airplanes and post offices,
Their hospital, private schools and law offices,
Was all destroyed by members of the Ku Klux Klan,
They couldn't stand to see success from an African American.

Little Africa, it was sometimes known as.
A little town in OKLAHOMA that was growing fast.
"BLACK WALLSTREET", is the best name to remember this town by.
So why did the government keep this part of history a lie?
    Well....
Let's just say, jealousy is always an CAUSE-N-EFFECT,
Which eventually turns into mistreatment and then to neglect.

*The black holocaust, May 31st, 1921, The Tulsa, Oklahoma Race Riot*
Let's remember, Teach and Honor those that stood for excellence, prosperity, and truth!

Born and Raised in Tulsa, OKC.

Well ain't that the truth, Ruth, those two lines brought this fine piece all the way home. I'm with hiphop4ever, I'm already appreciating what you're serving us here. You gave us a flow of history, and made a direct hit. Looking forward to reading more from you.
