I live in a place few have ventured
Full of flowers, shaded by trees,
Illuminated by His light as I am
Serenaded by the songs of sparrows;

I am visited by all kinds of animals
From the gentleness of the bunny to
The intimidation of the mighty lion
Surrounding me as I rest today;

There are time when I take a walk
Into this world in which you live to
See the activities of today build a new
Form of yesterday called tomorrow;

I see the pain and the confusion as well
As the love and the hope surrounded by
The wishes and dreams fighting to live
Against the faults of destruction and lore;

I see you, vessel, sitting in the midst of
All the world has to offer and yet never
Allowing the things of today destroy the
Path that leads you into the joy of tomorrow;

I rarely speak nor do I interrupt your walk for
I can only watch as you make the choices from
Steps ordered from above being tampered with
By snares and obstacles leading to destruction;

Can I change the path you walk? Am I the one
To protect you from the memories of your past?
Can I sweep you up into the raft I ride only to
Keep you floating until you can stand on your own?

I want to carry you into my garden, to rest among
The flowers and enjoy the aromas of love carried
On the petals of a tulip who hugs closely to the
Rose as the bumblebee drinks of their nectar;

But I realize that the only way for you to experience
The peace the passes all understanding, that keeps
Me standing when all the world around me falls apart
Can only come from walking a moment in my shoes;

That I wish never occur…

Close your eyes and rest your head on your pillow,
Inhale deeply to allow the joy of life to overtake your
Thoughts so that the true joy of life, the real peace
you seek can embrace you in the midst of meditation;

True peace is found within.
My garden is open for all the visit, but
YOUR garden comes from the Comforter…
I have found my peace…
