I wrote this kind of like..a conversation between mother and child...its not auto biographical though, thank god lol. My dads snoring rather loudly on the couch right now actually...well- Enjoy

    Mommy where's daddy?
    Baby Dad's out clubbin
    Mommy where's daddy?
    Baby, daddy's out fu*k1n.
    Mommy where's daddy?
    Anywhere but here.
    Baby if you only knew…

Child papa wants no part of this
Woulda been a hit and quit situation
    But your mommy got pregnant
He woulda been a run away pop
But your granny made him stop
He sent a couple checks in the mail, yes
    Nothing more, he's way less
    Than a father

    Why's daddy never around?
Why does mommy call him foul names?
Why do you feel all this pain?
    Because some men aint sh*t
    Some men is just kids
And to them responsibility doesn't exist
    But they still insist
    That they are men

A true man does all he can
A true man is at his son's game in the stands
    his number one fan
A true man could never stand
His little boy growing to a man
    With him mostly absent

    A true man…
    Loves his child
No- he loves him AND proves it.

    Very Nice.

    Papa was a rolling stone.
Where his shoes came off was his home.
Always under some others ladies bed.

She robbed his pocket as he slept in her bed.
So in a way he is ashamed to come home any more.
When he does his defense is to start a fight at the door.

    What goes up comes down.
What is done to us comes around.

Keep the faith, know this true.
One day you will see him needing me or you.

Decide then how you will handle it,
the ones he cherished will let him down.
His so called friends will abandon him.
They laugh at him and call him a clown.

As he rest on his death bed.
He may share something in his last words.
So be open just respect him as much as you can.

Give him a chance to be really heard.
I won't speak bad thoughts and wish him no harm.
Bye may all he has to say.
He may say he is sorry he treated us that way.

Its closure to you, to him and this life.
Honor thy mother and father as the bible ask.

    to iwanabe

i can relate to this piece oh so well but i learn to forgive and move on.
thats why i remain the faithful and strong
i'm gonna raise my little ones with god by side
and i'm not worried about the overdue childsupport that steadily on his ride
you cant help what and who you fall in love with
i look back now and they wasn't worth spit
but yet i remain this single black strong woman that i am
because i was raised to give a ****
i won't turn my back on my babies because the jackass decided to split
i'm just thankful i don't have to put up with his sh**t
the only thing he's done was give me a beautiful child
with cute dimples and a warming smile
it feels good knowing that in the end i have been the best mother and friend
because my children have me to depend( on)
times have been rough without his support
but yet i've remained cheerful and a sport
my children think i'm the best mom in the world
his life now is upside down in a twirl
you see god don't like ugly
dont return evil to evil because vengeance is mine
and believe me baby its true
    CAUSE HE'S CATCHING HELLLLLLL!

Not all males can be fathers, a sad tale but true. Thank goodness that somehow, we can rise above our beginnings, as many have. Flow on poet.
