It's the thoughtfulness
that you exude
when in the recesses of
your mind
my name moves into
a circumference
and an angel echoes
digits that speed dials
one number -- frequently...

Telephone frequency
divulges privacy
conversations whether
short or long
hold me captive to
your life's anthology
and I'm feeling
you -- feeling me

When you call
I'm 'open' to drink
a tall glass of dizzy
keeps me smiling
wide with a hint
of ginger

When you call
My eyes light up
an entire room
then perspiration
forms around my
soul as condensed
liquid-- purifying
my veins...my mind's
acceptance
...speeches...about
the days goings-on

...and
When you call
I see the sands
of the sea running
red making love puddles
on the beach where the
sunset reaches
lofty memories of
our yesterdays and
tomorrows

When you call
your voice smoothes
out the ridges of coral
that spread silence
in the soak of my ocean
floor

When you call
a piano played for
me... a lover's solo
in mahogany...keys
that unlocked
the hidden treasures
for you to see
how happiness
lives beneath
trapped doors
holding
satisfaction hostage
to desires

And... when YOU call
me (S.B.), love no
longer runs for cover
underneath my
winter's coat
raglan
sleeve ~~
