Just want to say hi to the members here. I have been off the site for a while. There is an old saying."The more things change the more they remain the same".

Living here in the Caribbean at times we are unaware of some the things that are happening in the USA. Even though the Internet has made the world a global village sometimes there are things that we might not see on the Internet.

Recently some friends of mine were discussing the story of the African American man at 72 years old who spent (45) years in prison. This man maintained his innocence saying he would rather die in prison that admit to some he didn't do. I am amazed at the iniquitous judicial system in America. When will this end and this is the same USA that condemns brutality and injustice in other countries. All I can do is SMH.

This man from Detroit was 27 years when he was sent to prison/ The system failed him and every day the stories of injustice continues.

yes, me too. Sometimes it feels like the more things change, the more things stay the same, as you have said.
