When we Were Heroes

When we were heroes
We had a tribe
To call our own

We were the sun
Sent unto the sons
Of Kingdoms
Swept away
By distant moons

When we were heroes
A woman's chastity
was cradled in our arms
And when she gave us blood
Her children suckled at her bosom

When we were heroes
Freedom was the
First name for earth
And the wall of Berlin
Was just a stone

Then
The walls came tumbling
Down...down

And the world
Sunk further into
Ground...ground

Now only the stone
Remembers the
Sound...sound

Of bricks
Building

When we were heroes
