Anti-discrimination laws are still active on the legal books so I would think what Uncle Ben did would be considered illegal and can be contested. If any Black folk work for HUD they should raise up and speak out and if they get fired for doing that, that's called retaliation which is also prohibited under the civil rights laws. Wow, I've lost a ton of respect for this guy as a politician. Paris Dennard is another interesting character who is Black.

This is predicted to have a devastating impact on Wall Street and anyone whose pension plans are stock heavy might take a big hit. The market has been reeling and suffering major losses lately and hot tempered #45 might make it crash.

NNQ in theory you are so right. Unfortunately in the Capitol Beltway all Federal agencies are linked officially and unofficially so I would say a HUD employee denigrating his superior in public best had have touched base with HUD's legal department or they will being making an appointment with EEOC to get their job back and good luck with that lately since all the alphabet agencies rut in the very same swamp Trumpy promises to drain. Fat chance of that happening too. Only swamp being drained is his cabinet.

... On Tuesday, CNN reported that Trump is covertly supporting Anthony Scaramucci’s regular tirades against Chief of Staff John Kelly, during which he recently called Kelly such charming names as “General Jackass” and blamed him for staffers’ low morale. Trump has reportedly “emboldened” the Mooch to continue the attacks, which he apparently follows on cable TV.

HUD employee accuses Ben Carson of 'smear campaign'

    CNN

(CNN) A Department of Housing and Urban Development employee is coming to the defense of a whistleblower whose sworn complaint threw HUD into the spotlight last week, and making new allegations against the agency. Marcus Smallwood, the director of Records and Information Management, wrote a blistering open letter to Secretary Ben Carson Tuesday, accusing him of participating in a "smear campaign" against staffer Helen Foster ...

Corporate leaders must reject Trump’s tariffs

    By Charles Koch
Charles Koch is chairman of the board and chief executive of Koch Industries

... The administration’s recent decision to impose major steel and aluminum tariffs — on top of higher tariffs on washing machines and solar panels — will have the same harmful effect. Without a doubt, those who can least afford it will be harmed the most.

The Trump doomsayers might turn out to be right

... But stocks are now wobbling, and economists are warning of new dangers to the economy—thanks largely to Trump, among the campaign promises Trump has yet to fulfill are new tariffs on imported goods, which, to Trump’s mind, are necessary to revive the U.S. manufacturing sector. So Trump now to plans to impose tariffs of 25% on all imported steel and 10% on all imported aluminum.
