    Peace and Blessings Family,

When is it okay to steal from others?

When you're hungry? broke? homeless? have children to feed? need / want what they got?

What's unfortunate is that many of our people face the above challenges most every day.

If in that situation ... "without" ... can you justify inside yourself that it's okay to steal from those ... "with"?

In the Doomsday Preppers thread, i was surprised at those that said they'd just steal from others.

With our people facing doomsday scenarios everyday, it seems that others think the same way.

Yesterday, two of my neighbors house was broken into, they were robbed.

They both live directly across the street from me ... wonderful people ... probably just making it, like the rest of us.

I have a big black beautiful rottweiler ... which is probably some deterrent to coming here first.

He's such a great watchdog, barks at anything out of order, and i'm surprised someone robbed so close to him.

Nonetheless ... it happened ... and will no doubt continue to happen throughout our communities.

But it makes me wonder ... is there a point in your own mind ... where stealing is okay ... justifiable?

If so ... when is that time for you ... and are you as understanding if you're the victim of such?

Personally ... i don't think it is ever okay to take someone else's property without their permission ... but i've never been hungry, homeless, and with children to feed ... (i've been all of those things, but never all at the same exact time) ... and would hope that i could come up with another way of surviving, should i have such a bridge to cross.

In fact, one of the most challenging rules i've had to create, enforce and defend ... is no stealing of other people's property to post here at destee.com. I have had some of the most "revolutionary, conscious, and respected" individuals fight me on this ... feeling as though it is their right to take and freely use other people's property without permission ... as they've determined it's necessary for the greater good ... in their own minds. It's okay to "steal" other people's property, oftentimes other Sisters and Brothers property, and use it without ever receiving their permission or compensating them for their great work. Folk do it every day, without thinking twice. Way weird, and very surprising to me, but i've had to fight against it all the years i've been on the Internet.

Looking forward to the discussion ... Thanks in advance Family!

From my perspective, it is never okay to steal, and yet, as you have said too many in our community think that they are justified in simply taking what they want because they don't have. Whatever happened to asking for help? It's aggravating to say the least especially for those of us who bust our butts at jobs to come home and find what little we have managed to gain simply taken becuase someone wanted it.

I had an instance where I had a dog house that my mom had hand made for my dog taken out of my back yard. Mind you it was a heavy wooded dog house, with my dogs name painted on it. It took three of us to lift and get the dog house situated in the back yard, but some individuals were bold enough to invade my personal space and just take this item from me because they wanted to. I can name countless other instances where this has occurred but why bother? My point is it is never okay to simply take from someone. The sad part is we take from one another who have very little but here there are white people who have their windows wide open no curtains lights on all through the house advertising all their expensive ish, but you still my little old hand made dog house? Seriously?

You are no better than the white man if you do so, that's been their MO from the beginning of time. You really want to be true about self then stop posturing and really look within and see what you really are. Not too many can do that without an excuse to try to validate their actions.

Your the type of guy who gets slapped and says "im not even going to stoop down to your level". When I was a kid we use to beat up white boys, and steal their bikes!

In all honesty, never. But, in a life and death situation, it's either steal or starve.......

Holy hell... LOL! I wish a muthafucka would slap me and think they have conciousness swiftly afterwards. Basically if you try to steal from me you get what you get and you ain't gettin' good. I am just stating if you initiate the slappin', what then? Yep, back to my first sentence of this post.

It seems to be 'human nature' for someone who has done nothing to get the things they want to be stealing from someone who has worked hard for what they do have. It happens, unfortunately, much to my chagrin.

it's the model imposed; the basis for these fictions called "capitalism" and "corporatism". they never create anything.

whatever whatever: no stealing -NO not even from them ... who'd want the mess that they would deem "tasteful"? put the kool-aid down!

Great and you are proud of yourself. I bet you were not beyond stealing other blacks as well. Doesn't matter what race, if you did that it shows a weakness of character and an untrustworthy nature.
