When God gave me you
My life became complete
My heart beat stronger
My vision is clearer

I write of life, love, and peace
I speak of hope, joy and pain
But never did I realize the things
I share with others would be seed
Planted for the blessing of you;

I awaited on the road forever
Looking at the many pass me by
Searching for the piece of me
That I could recognize blindly;

I sought you in my dreams
I asked for you in my prayers
I wished for you in my worship
And now the God gave me you
I thank Him in my praise;

I cry without reason, smile without
Purpose and sing without music
In the midst of a crowd and people
Look to know that love is with me;

I want to hold you forever, smile with
You infinitely, walk with you until the
Days no longer separate from the night,
And the sands become soft so that I can
Carry you in arms built for your needs;

On bended knee I await with one arm
Lifted high to hold commitment, peace,
Devotion, joy, trust, love, happiness, and
Communication wrapped in the anointing;

Look to the sky? Can you see the clouds
Forming our shape in the sky as GOD smiles
Upon the completion of HIS request and
Now as I lift you up to hold his hand I smile
To know you would reach down for me…
