(note: not an ardent follower of the word black, but you get the gist)

    When blacks cry
    they spill all their tears
Shed all their fears for a moment
And get up the next morning and go to work
    When whites cry
They hold on to the hurt
They love it in a perverse way
They love it in the worst way
Not unlike how they love their mothers

    When blacks cry..
    They often shout and scream
    Dancing in a trance
    As if in a dream.
Shaking it off like you've neva seen

    Blacks cry everyday
    In the club
    Hating every Brotha and Sistah
    That don't show love
    Some hating The imaginary Lord
    Up above

    Blacks cry when they
    Realize it's a all a plot
    From being homeless
To resorting to living on the block.
    When they son got shot
    They wasn't shocked.

    They cry bittersweet tears
When they find the Creator within
Realizing all you need to win is
    Meditation
    and not
    Medication.

    We cry
    As a means to survive.
    From welfare to drive-bys
    From HIV to husbands lies

    We cry now,
    So we can smile later.

    Cry now.

We cry so much sometimes our tears are even mixed in with our laughter...we have reason to cry rivers. But we cleanse our souls each time we cry. Thank you for so aptly describing a part of our strength this way poetess, whew, overstood.

Just a short piece based on observation and Truth.
