What's done

Can't be undone

Every cut has to bleed

Every bruise has to swell

Every hurtful word will be heard

What's done

Can't be undone

All the pain in my heart

And the scratches on my soul

Time does not travel backwards

What goes up must come down

The simple laws

Of life and love

Can never be reversed

With "I'm sorry"

Very true. Sorry is just a word. That spills quickly from the mouth of the guilty. There are many things that sorry just cannot live up to or replace or even smooth over.
True sorrow is an action as well as a word. It is an expression that is born within the heart and soul.
