Brother O ... am I wrong, perhaps too invested, emotional and/or close to this topic to see the greater good of us convening on white sites en masse to discuss our collective cultural survival? Is there a better or different way for me to view this phenomena?

@Omowale Jabali ... Happy New Year! Yes, I was in my feelings ... ... it took a bit of time for me to realize this. I've often said that our Core Foundational Pieces keep me grounded, and they did again this time. This is all mentioned within them. None of this is new. I knew it years ago. I believe being reminded struck a nerve, hurt my feelings, but it's not about me or my feelings. It is not personal. I was reading in an article recently that there are fewer black owned banks servicing us, and those that remain, struggle to survive. I don't know the last time I've seen a black owned grocery store. Black owned schools, do they exist? It stands to reason that my area of expertise, black owned web sites, would not be spared. I knew going in, that it might be this way. There was a part of me that was hopeful though, wanting to believe the tide would turn ... and maybe it will ... there is still time.

Nah. You not wrong. I can only speak for myself though. I support you when I’m able. At the same time I got friends and family on those other sites that I use for networking. I encourage you to keep doing what you do. You have a rich legacy which needs to be cherished and respected. It doesn’t need to be an either/or. Use your Twitter and Fakebook for content marketing. That’s the best I can suggest because that’s what I do as well.
