Occupation
student, but not for long
As I enjoy our times,
Where we innocently spend,
Filling each others voids,
Each other’s gaps.
You occupy my lap,
As I run my hands through your locks,
And massage your temple, your thoughts.
And I wonder if they are about me.
I feel like the day isn’t complete,
Until I tell you about the trials,
The day wanted me to meet,
But they all melt away,
As you caress my feet.
And I wonder to myself,
‘Could you get any more sweet?’
I share with you my weird,
Adventures and fantasies,
And instead of looking confused,
You tell me that I’m incredibly unique.
I let you in on my fears,
On things that I normally keep inward.
You take on the position of my bodyguard,
And I’m wondering if you should.
I tend to get caught up,
Knot up, entangled up,
Wrangled up,
In what it is we have.
I’m afraid I will display,
Portray the physical,
Of how mentally I may be going too far,
Reflecting this picture,
And getting a deeper meaning,
Than what we really are….
