It's been my observation that women tend to like romance novels and men tend to like suspense/action books. Even the authors who write them seem to follow this trend... women authors are more likely to write romance novels and men are more likely to write thrillers. This is while 'deep' books, whether classic fiction or contemporary pieces that have been considered more intellectual than typical escapist literature, can go either way. Anyone else agree? What type of books do men generally go for?
