Too many opinions about world politics:

Not enough about what shall we do about the homefront?

    Thanks in advance!

The homefront is incredibly difficult, mainly because the African in America is so entirely dependent upon the European, that in light of shared interests (the hopes of work) they avoid cooperating with one another, even preferring to do menial labour over organizing with their out-of-luck brethren.

I have stood on street corners promoting the cause of African liberation, and passersby ignored.

Interestingly, a friend showed me what the Jews do for their schools: they randomly mail to the Jewish community concerning an upcoming meeting and ask for donations. When has anyone ever even [randomly] emailed you concerning an upcoming meeting in the Black community or asked for donations for a cause that they have?

True. But many of these were short-sighted and many more not worth writing home about.

    I do not see it.

We still are as dependent as ever.

Over 50% of Black men are unemployed in NYC (and other major cities.)

So many of us are in prison.

And we're still disrespected in the national media.

    What's the big improvement?

My stepfather did this, he started a program at a park district in Chicago. None of the parents showed up, and he had a real hard time getting brothers to volunteer there. He spent his own money to help the kids and no one else would donate.

Black people generate well over $800 billion dollars a year, even in this economy. Our problem is we dont leverage our wealth. That is OUR fault

I can relate to this. I cofounded a mentoring program in Detroit. Many of my well heeled friends and colleagues asked me why I bothered.
