    Peace and Blessings Family,

What are the qualities needed to be a leader of Black People, and do you have them?

Please list the qualities that you think are necessary, and let us know if you have them.

    Thanks in advance.

1 A leader must have a serious and constant focus on the needs and welfare of the race

2 They must love the race as they love their extended family

3 They must be able to provide information to the race, vital to a process that leads to the exposure of the orpessor.

4 They must be an altruistic empath

5 They must be a servant to the masses without seeking reward,
and must see the potential in all who seem opr apear lost

6 They must have a knowledge of the history of the race

7 They must be able to inspire the youth

8 They must be able to speak to everyone on their level

9 They must have a critical; analysis as opposed to a paralysis of analysis

10 they must know what wheels are alread made so they do not seek to reinvent any

11 They must have no ego, and serve the needs and immediate demands of the masses in a mwethodical, measured and accountable way.

12 they must understand that they are not the leader but the people are, and inspire the youngest of children towards leadership skills

13 they must have a rudimentry understanding of politics and economics as well as contemporary world events

14 they must know the methodologies of positive motivation

15 they must know organizing skills and all technologies of networking and communications

As far as what I have, I have a need to take a portable razor with me, to shave with,
if I am going to be out all night cause I get stubble after 10PM

I dont think Jesus, said that about Detroit Red,

and uhm....... about how many "Detroit Reds" are out there,

now some want to give up on?

A real leader gives up on no one

and has to have the capacity to see further then their own nose

A leader without followers is not much good.
Apathy is in the lead now.

Personally, my name says it all. "Quiet" warrior.

'leaders' are usually borne out of necessity..

..unique to a time or need--chosen and most always reluctant.

    (Who wants to die?)

I (for instance,) would never --give trust to a self-proclaimed 'leader.'

And because there is no such thing--ought to give OUR People a 'sneak-peek' at the so-called leaders found in the public eye today.

"The People' first---have to want one.

I think we all have a unique set of skills and qualities to lead and be a leader
but it will take the people to want a leader they can entrust in and follow, today
this will be very hard to do because most want to lead but won't step up nor be
    led.

One thing must be learned is there's always one stronger then the next
when it come to leading you have to take in heart all black people in your best intrest
this should imply "the feeling of a person whose attention, concern, or curiosity is particularly
engaged by something". And symbolizes the common good and welfare for all the people of color.

One will need working plans /ideas and choices to offer the people, a stablize structure with life meanings.
One must be willing to carry the weight yet know how too, without getting caught up between power and Jurisdiction.

A leader is no more then one whom wants change for the people and themselve for a better living
many think a leader is a ruler an forcer and commandor which is not true, this not a leader
A leader is a changer, a challenger,a fighter,a speaker,a heart to love all thy peoples
a leader will give beyond ever seeking to recieve.
No doubt in my mind we have many great leaders in many different ways for basicly the same causes.

Could i ever lead .......Yes and with the knowledge of knowning there is much work to be done
before i could ever step into the light, I must have working plans / administer the common welfare
for every black soul, and know you not out to gain followers but but impower the structure of black
human race, A leader don't stand alone but bundently in whole as one this means
all blacks will be of the same no matter who/what or where !

We All have it (LEADERSHIP) but we sometime not aware and or afraid to lead which has been
one of our greatest downfalls in life, we treasure self egos and pride far greater then what's best for the people
this make us seem so apart or weak when it's only inner mishaps better known as self-betrayal

Today A leader don't need to stand over all people but lead the few which will lead
more until we all aware .......we first must come from the shadows of fear and dis-trust
all our greed and Jealousy get over the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, anxiety.

I Am a leader for all my people in my own unique way and so are you !

whole lotta folks sick and dieing, don't want a doctor or advise about their health
and when a person has been hynotized from birth, they don't now what they want or desire

When Detroit Red was walking around Harlem with 3 gats in his waste,
do you think he wanted a leader?

I dont know what that who wants to die bit is about

    we are born to die

I live in an area where you could get killed just going to the store, by a stray bullet or a cop mistaking one for someone else or run up on the sidewalk by a drunk driver,
or go into Manhattan and have a rig or scaffold put up by non union workers drop on you and kill you.

Seems like we got off those plantations with nothing and entered a hateful, deadly world to Africans

    without fear or trepidation

In the Spirit of Sankofa and Peace and Love!

In all fairness to the thread, brother Ankhur, the solicitation is this:

Which has nothing to do with critiquing the thoughts of others, as you have done, twice already. Who would come into a thread and offer ideas toward the desired list, feeling some kinder way of having to go point counter point(back and forth) with you, my brother?

No one has challenged your list, brother, not one single person
    .

^^True. However there's room for all whom wish to grow--to grow...

    'The Desire for Freedom.'

"It is my deep conviction that all peoples wish to be free, and that the desire
for freedom is rooted in the soul of every one of us. A people long subjected
to foreign domination, however, does not always find it easy to translate that
    wish into action. Under arbitrary rule, people are apt to become lethargic;
their senses are dulled. Fear becomes the dominant force in their lives; fear
of breaking the law, fear of the punitive measures which might result from an
unsuccessful attempt to break loose from their shackles. Those who lead the
struggle for freedom must break through this apathy and fear. They must give
active expression to the universal longing to be free. They must strengthen the
peoples' faith in themselves, and encourage them to take part in the freedom
struggle. Above all, they must declare their aims openly and unmistakably, and
organize the people towards the achievement of their goal of self-government."
