A long time ago
there was a flow
so gentle and mild
shares of laughter
even a smile

once before like
yesterday
it was cool
all new too
but today not
the same
there are much to claim
some even shame

theirs no blame
but someone calling names
not like long ago
when there was a deep core
we floss and dance
time has change
the old worth is done
bags pack
not like it once was
so time to move from
kin and your cuz
leaving behind an emotion
letting go turning the key
it's time da feelings be free'd

just not like once was
when we played games
we even stood out in the rain
we sang and sang
from sun up to sun down
never once did we clown
now frowns cast
love dim
stolen friend and
turn away kin
the battle become
a journey of the past
old ways come to pass
drop hopes
lost soul
yeap it's time to roll

it's cold outside looking in
lonely heart no more friend
time has come
of what once was .
