Something in me has broken
Shifted and I'm not jokin
See I lost all hope in what I was Hopin
Meaningless words that falls deaf when spoken
I sit still counting backwards from 10
Remembering who I am and where I been
How I have face my fears and now there my friend
Together, forever to the bitter end
They say what don’t break you makes you stronger
But seems I have Broken, just took a little longer
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder
Sometimes I wonder
I close my eyes wishing the feeling would leave
I'm finding it hard to breath
But I used to handle it better with tricks up my sleeve
Leaving no time to grieve
And now my teeth chatter and I can’t stop it
My heart is racing like a rocket
WHERE IS MY ZANAX.. IT WAS IN MY POCKET
May be you need one before you knock it
I close my eyes but it does not help
I try to think of anything, just something else
But each thought more twisted than the last
Got me retracing steps of my past
Steps that leads to no where and fast
No need for breaks, foot heavy on the gas
….. got me questioning my own survival
Counting backwards from 10 needing my Bible
I need to remember not to let you define me
Needing to move forward and not let you remind me
My past is the past so no need to rewind me
Today the Devil will not win as I cast you behind me
For this time
Free from being intertwined
In search of peace of mind
Being realigned
Redefined by better design
Caring less if you don’t like it or cosign
So with a Open Mind
This time
This time
I must decline
As I leave these anxiety behind
