    Peace and Blessings Family,

What are the steps involved for leaving america, be it temporary or permanent?

I've never tried to leave, never got a passport, don't have any idea of what's involved.

I'm hearing that there is a lot to it, and thot i'd start a thread on it, so we can all see the steps involved.

How much money does it cost to leave america? What must you pay before being allowed to leave?

I'm thinking it wouldn't cost any more than travel fare to your destination, and a passport ... am i wrong?

I know most would want to do it like the rich and famous, but on the smallest of budgets, can it be done?

What is the absolute minimum cost to plant one's feet on foreign soil?

I'm gonna do some research, but if you've done it, started the process, know any of the steps, please share.

    Thanks in advance.

Paul Simon - 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover

    Lyrics:

"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just get yourself free
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

Ooo slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just listen to me
    Hop on the bus, Gus
    Don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    Get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
    About the fifty ways

She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just get yourself free
Oh you hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

    Slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    You just listen to me
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free

Getting a passport is easy. Obtained my form, submitted my form, and paid my fee through the post office.

It can actually be pretty hard.... especially if you have a record. But 1st step is to definitely get your passport. Depending upon which country you are going to (if its outside of the EU or Jamaica) you may want to check with that country's embassy or consulate.

If you are seeking to escape obligations such as debt; child support; and others, it will not be confirmed.

Panama is a pretty popular place for American expats.

As many others have said, you need a passport.

Besides that it depends on which country you plan to go to, but most countries require you to get a visa to enter, which is a temporary permit. If you want to leave permanently you will need an immigration visa from the country you are going to. Some countries this is harder than others.

Many West African countries welcome African Americans, but don't get any illusions, you will be considered a foreigner until you are married into one of the families there.

I want to know also. I think it is time for all minorities to leave america period. We will never be equal here, and it was the work of minorities that helped build this country. We need to go home to our brothers where we are accepted. Whoever wants to leave, I'm planning a massive exit this year so people will have less fear of just leaving with their families in small numbers and be more comfortable surrounded by their brothers. We all came here packed on ships, lets leave the same way. America cant make a dime without us, there are more minorities than whites. But if we continue to stay here and be their sheep, we will be led to slaughter. There are lots of muslim nations willing to accept us mentally dead people of america. The time is now, we can leave this corrupt country and return to our motherland, or we can go down with them in flames. I'm serious yall, dead serious. Let me know something.....

Brother Shikamaru ... are you saying one can't leave the country if they have existing debt?

How would the 'authorities' know if you were fleeing to seek escape from obligation?

Prior to leaving, must one prove that whatever obligation they have, could easily be satisfied?

Are you talking about america not confirming ... or the place one is fleeing to?

    Love You and Thanks!
