I am posting this here because, on another site that I post on, the question was asked concerning "what spirituality is". So far, this is what I have posted there. It may interest some here in terms of their own questions and what's going on. I haven't finished posting there but this is where I am so far.

    PART ONE...

Well, well, well....I have been enjoying all these answers to the posed question...and I can not help but to smile at the responses given. Okay, here it goes. Humans have been on the earth for a long long time, and before there was ever any concept of what we call God, Jesus, Buddah, Muhammad or even any so called prophets, humans were spiritual. In fact, they were even more spiritual than we are today. Why so?...because they were ONE WITH NATURE. They didn't have any doctrines, any faith, any beliefs or any books. They were one with nature and nature was one with them. As such, they were one with themselves and the divine nature of themselves even though they themselves were not aware of it. Through their observation of nature and the universe that they were a natural part of, they began to divide the attributes of nature and the universe into feminine and masculine attributes or what we call dualities. As they began doing this for greater understanding of themselves and the universe around them, that became the first step of them moving away from the natural state of their existence which was spiritual in nature.

With it came developed doctrines and catagorizations of what they observed. With it also came something that they never were before...because they were becoming EXTERNALIZED instead of living in the natural internalized condition that they once were. As such, the first element that they recognized and payed homage to was the feminine element of creation and life...thus they began to worship the Goddess long before they ever had a concept of a God. They saw the universe giving birth to new stars and planets. They saw nature giving birth to new life all around them everywhere...and most of all, they saw the woman giving birth to what seemed like out of nowhere. Why so? Because in the begining man was not aware that his act of sex would be the catalyst that would aid in the woman giving birth 9 months down the line. For man in his state of not knowing, the woman was able to do something that he could not do and that he observed nature and the universe as being able to do, also. Thus the woman or Goddess concept was worshipped and payed divine homage to ---long, long before any concept of a God ever emerged. According to the science of DNA, woman was on the planet for 40,000 years before a man ever got here.

    From Continuation

Amazingly, science and DNA today have been able to conclude that everyone on earth can be traced....not back to a man, but back to a woman through Mitochondrial DNA which is only passed through the woman. SO MUCH FOR THE CONSTRUCTED BIBLICAL LIE ABOUT ADAM BEING FIRST AND THE WOMAN COMING FROM HIM. As a historian I have had to go back and begin to deconstruct HIS- Story only to find that HER-story was first and was purposely covered up, destroyed and buried by man in order to elevate himself above that which gave him birth...THE WOMAN !! It is for these reasons and more that we have strayed so far away from being spiritual....for MAN is not naturally spiritual by nature but WOMEN ARE.

Women do not have to validate themselves in the world, for they are validated simply by the sheer fact that they give birth...and because they give birth, they are naturally INTERNALIZED. Man on the other hand is not naturally internalized and as such, seeks to validate his existence outside of himself through war, conquest, material acquisition and destruction...something linked to testosterone. As such, science has equally found that women are more in touch with themselves and with nature. Because women have a natural 28 day cycle, it has been found that she created the first calendar which was lunar and also changes every 28 days. It has equally been discovered that it was she who created language and passed it while nursing her infant on her breast. It has been discovered that she was the first herbal doctor and taught man face to face love. As such, it was she who created culture and not man. Even in Ancient Kemet (Egypt) a ruler could not ascend the throne unless he did so through a woman. Why so? Because she was looked at as being born of a royal bloodline and not the man. Check the Kemetic, Greek, Roman and other histories and you will see that they all consulted with ORACLES who were able to foresee events and who held special powers. Look deeper and you will see and learn that they were FEMALES AND NOT MEN. In essence, I am letting you know that there is a history that has been covered up, buried, rewritten, demonized and totally ignored by men on this planet. The question therefore becomes why, what, when, where and how.

I do not take any of this lightly because it is the key as to why the world is the way it is today...and I equally acknowledge that it isn't going to change until women empower themselves through knowledge of themselves and history to change it. Men are out of control and have been out of control for some time now....with her as the first victim. If man is to reach a point of becoming or touching base with his spiritual nature, it will be through the guidance, the love and the wisdom of a woman and not himself.

    In Continuation....2

In continuation of this subject matter, it is important that I let it be known that I am not an athiest by no stretch of the imagination. The subject matter that I speak of is a reality historically speaking. It has nothing and yet everything to do with how we as a people have been conditioned, programmed, mis-educated and guided into our present systems of faith, belief and religion. It has to do with how our spiritual nature has been smothered by these beliefs, these faiths, these religions and the mis-education that does not actually serve us as it should on a collective or individual level.

We have reached a point where we have been layered like an onion with developed falsehoods that must be peeled back so that we can reach the core of what we really are. This again is where history comes in handy. Everyone here can clearly see that the nature of man is to CONTROL other peoples, other lands, other peoples wealth and other peoples health. They seek to control our education in terms of WHAT THEY THINK WE SHOULD KNOW OR NOT KNOW. Well I don't want anyone to be surprised about this, but this nature of man is not new upon the planet. We were born into systems of belief, of faith, of so-called knowledge that was passed down to us by our parents, our teachers, our ministers, our family and our friends.

How many of us have dared to investigate any of it to see if it was true? How many of us have checked to see if what we think, what we were taught, what we believe and as such, what we do, has any validity or factual foundation upon which to stand and continue living in our lives? Once we are able to conclude that man is as corrupt today as he was back then, we will have reached a point and understanding that EVERYTHING WE THINK, BELIEVE AND DO HAS TO BE RE-EVALUATED AND EXAMINED. Somewhere around 600 b.c. a guy named Aesop wrote that; "You Can Never Depend Upon A Liar To Tell You The Truth". Once I began discovering lies in the very things that were not supposed to contain lies within them that I was governing my life off of, I knew that everything I ever learned or thought I knew had to be examined.

That started 30 years ago and has been a continuing process ever since. I had to move beyond everything I thought I knew or was ever taught or believed...because after all, I was raised as a Christian. I became a Muslim on my own...both sunnie and shiite. In continuing to study history, I eventually let that go also and studied all world religions and all world history...and in every field of human existence. What was I searching for??? What did I need?? What did I want or require in my life that had me on such a journey?? All I wanted, needed and required was THE TRUTH..PURE AND SIMPLE...I JUST WANTED THE TRUTH.

I was tired of being lied to about everything no matter where I went. I was tired of running into systems that had their own agenda...and although the truth wasn't pretty, I wanted it anyway. I know the truth is dangerous...because if it wasn't, a lie would make no sense. We have these shells that we call bodies that are nothing more than prisons for our true reality...but we run around taking them to be our real selves when they aren't. Then we attach labels, identities and other b.s. to these prisons like "God's Chosen People" or "Original" and/or "Tribe" this and that, as if these labels have some actual reality to them when actually they are nothing more than a man-made construct that further smothers our spirituality.

    TO BE CONTINUED....

the above quote is all tautological. your reasoning is going in circles. let's take the nature part. here's your quote:

they were even more spiritual than we are today. Why so?...because they were ONE WITH NATURE. They didn't have any doctrines, any faith, any beliefs or any books. They were one with nature and nature was one with them. As such, they were one with themselves and the divine nature of themselves even though they themselves were not aware of it.

first, there had always been and always will be "doctrines," "faith," "beliefs" and "books."

second, you write: "They were one with nature and nature was one with them. As such, they were one with themselves and the divine nature of themselves..." "even though they themselves were not aware of it."

    huh?

    then you write:

Through their observation of nature and the universe that they were a natural part of, they began to divide the attributes of nature and the universe into feminine and masculine attributes or what we call dualities.

if these individuals were so mighty and powerful (as you seemed to argue) why then do they need to observe what they are naturally part of? if it's in their "DNA"? and then you say:

"they began to divide the attributes of nature and the universe into feminine and masculine attributes or what we call dualities."

you're making these powerful people you speak of as being a bit, uh, let's say, clueless as to what they were capable of doing. you're mimicking a European analysis on ancient black people. i will be more specific. you're framing the ancients inside an evolutionary construct, rather than a constant, invariable, fixed composition for which the records speak of them as being.

Destee, I apologize way ahead of time. I know I'm about to be kicked off of here due to some of the most incomprehensible, retarded, ignorant ish I have ever read from some one who does not even come close to perfection unless it is when they are using the bathroom. In fact, let me just breathe for a minute because I don't want to dirty up the site...just lead me to the ignore button and I'll be good.

Thank You brother kenyatta, I appreciate that you take the time and effort to communicate your findings and your knowledge. It’s clear that you have given a lot to search for what is with-in us. I have encountered very few like you. Your choice of words tell a great deal of what you have discovered. For me to say that I have found the same as you, sounds so very hollow.

For me to say that I was blessed at birth, to the family I was born to, sounds just as hollow. There are but two things that my great grandmother (fathers line) told me that I can still remember. One that we African people were much more power full then we are now. I was just before six, at this time. I express how powerful with my face, not with words, as to what kind of power? Her answer came with a gesture, her right hand touched her temple then her hart. Both metal and spiritual.

I have found that very few people in the west understand, comprehend, know, what spiritual means.

As you have stated, many have become conflicted with the many thoughts and distractions about them each day. By design the west and others have diverted our senses away from our selves. There have been many times, that I have encountered confusion from those who are suppose to know. Yet in some of the places that I have been, in far off locations, with the humbles of people, I have felt the warmest of calm with the fewest of expressions. These very different people, live away from major so called civilized centers. Many of them don’t read and have lived very simple life’s.
Their spiritual ways are animist in nature for the most part. Yet their sense/presence up on the earth is keen, fully aware of every gesture they express and receive. For me to state, that these encounters were a delight to my spirit is understated. To put into words what our beings can be aware of is hard for me to say in in-gles.

For others I will try. I will say that the answers, if one were to call them that, lay inside of your being. Your inner self, our quiet calm fully mindful of all that is around you with-out thought or conditions. An open-ness of our energy centers (censors) to powers (forces) that surround and pass thru us all. It takes re-learning to shed all the garbage you have been fed by the connivers.

Again thank you brother for your efforts.

    AXE

OK, now I wanna demonstrate the perils of embracing a European analysis. and how by embracing that European analysis it can begin the ignition to this "all women are the same" mental construct.

notice the above quote please. the highlighted bold are mine.

may I ask that you observe the lack of specificity when addressing the Black Woman.

this is one of the first buttons which is activated in order to divest Black Women of their divinity: generalize her special gifts and talents so that any group can be inclusive. (study the concept of damnatio memoriae).

now, let's you and I do a compare and contrast to his piece with another's piece.

Here's a quote from Merlin Stone, a non Black Woman, in her book When God was a Woman ( New York, 1976, page xi):

"This book is the result of my reactions to these and similar questions which many of us concerned about the status of women in our society have been asking ourselves and each other. As if in answer to our queries, yet another question presented itself. What else might we expect in a society that for centuries has taught young children, both female and male, that a MALE deity created the universe and all that is in it, produced MAN in his own divine image--and then, as an afterthought, created woman, to obediently help man in his endeavors? The image of Eve, created for her husband, from her husband, the woman who was supposed to have brought about the downfall of humankind, has in many ways become the image of all women."

please notice the similarities. notice the lack of specificity. notice how--via inference--all women suffer the same thing and by default all women are entitled to the ancient glories.

notice how if our people who were just coming onto the next level (black man or Black Woman) were to read these words how they would NOT have a tunnel vision for our Queens; they will most likely conclude that all women were Queens, all women sat on the thrones of Kemet, all women created systems of thought and "spirituality."

let us not be afraid to give Black Woman her glory and Perfection because it all belongs to her, the Black Woman.

Your words have been put forth so plainly and evenly --that even a 3rd grader understands their content, structure, conceptual value and meaning...

"Lack of knowledge" almost always is prompted by ---questions and responses-- that reveal an absence of deep research, if any and all. The secret of asking who, what, why, when and where is not a gift that everyone has...I am so glad you do!
