Is it when wicked people are punished for wicked deeds or when they are delivered from wicked deeds? I know a woman whose husband did her wrong. She comforted herself by saying he would not be blessed. God would punish him because God does not like ugly. In this way she set herself up for misery. We live in a world where the bad guy sometimes wins. When we comfort outselves with the belief that the wicked will be punished then every time we hear about something good happening to bad people we will fall into a funk. Many of us are like King David in the Bible. We want God to zap our enemies but have mercy on us. When people who do bad things recognize that what they did is bad and take stips to not do those things anymore and rectify any damage they did to others yet they are not punished has justice been served? When people who bad things are punished but remain unrepentant and the people they hurt remain hurt has justice been served?
