Good point, everybody wants to be a Bishop these days

All of this stems from false denominational doctrines, having to do with translation and transliteration problems of the Greek words, "Presbureros" and "Episcopos" from the Septuagint.

These terms are descriptive for the one/same office, which are interchangeable as, Elder, Presbyter, Overseer, Bishop, Shepherd and Pastor. And over time, the term Bishop was relegated to regional position, but is now misconstrued to be a local position, as well.

Also, Bishop Paul Morton, retiring soon, played a big part in expanding the office of Bishop witnessed today:

The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, International is a fellowship of churches and individuals representing various denominations or organizations (originally from an African-AmericanBaptist background) that accepts the operation of spiritual gifts (thecharismata) in the church today, in reaction to the teachings of many Baptist bodies. The polity they operate with is episcopal. It was founded by Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr. in 1994.
