Black Spirituality Religion : What Happens After Death?

Destee Asked:... What do you believe happens after death?

Do you believe there is a "hell," for those not considered worthy of "heaven?"

Or do you believe that all life ends when the body dies?

Do you believe that those who have gone before us, are able to come and visit with us now ... and we will be able to do the same, regardless of how we lived our life ... or do we have to live a certain way in order to come back?

Do you believe in reincarnation ... actually living more than one life?

Or are you somewhere in the middle ... maybe the Spirit stays trapped somewhere between life and death ... i don't know ... just giving you all to know that i'm interested in whatever you believe ... regarding "life after death."




This is why I love the bible. Man's opinion (including my own) don't mean a hill of beans. The post above this one is a prime example of how opinions can be so confusing and cause people to miss a beautiful destiny...oh God, please help us to see...clearly. I'm sorry Destee, but man's opinion about this and that just makes me ill sometimes. I have to stick with the bible because there are just too many voices out there...way too many. The question for me is NOT what do I believe, but rather what does the bible say. Because in the end, that is what I will be judged by...not by beliefs or opinions, but by what I chose to do with what was given to me in the bible. What is written therein, is what I have chosen for myself and believe to be true. I just can't trust religious theories, new age beliefs or anything that is contrary to what is in the bible. Life is just too short and fragile for all of that.

Death is real...the grave is real...rest assured that Hell is real too...but the beautiful thing is...Love is real and it exist eternally in Jesus Christ for those who want it. For God IS Love. Love is the heartbeat of God...Thus He gave that I might be with Him throughout eternity and this alone, to me is Heaven.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is no need for anyone to go to hell...

Revelation 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

does thasat mean that folks who are not christian have something to worry about when they die?

I don't know if folks are reading things right, but what creator would section out only 144 thousand to be all right

out of the millions of good honest and respectful altruistic people who in communist nation may have beeen preventd from even hearing about God or ever see any holy book?

Before the Bible was printed and before Jesus was born,

were did our African ancestors go when they died?

I here you bro Ankhur,out of all the people in this world ,who's to say "oh you can't get to heaven because you don't believe what I believe ". Religion was created by man .I strongly believe that the slave masters knew that the chains would not hold us for too long .So they took the chains off our arms and legs ,and put them on our minds .

I believe there is an existence after death ,and if thats the case then there really isn't death .Just a transition .Simply ,we are energy and energy can never cease to exist .

I agree with you too Queen . I've been boxed into religion ,but we were all born with free will .We can all find inner peace,but we need only to let go of the ideal that there is "something" -some church,some structure ,some cloth ,some water ,some bead ,some chant ,some rite ,some ritual ,or more importantly somebody- that we must engage in first to find God!The way to peace is through spirit .

Life after death? Yes .We are energy ,and energy can never cease just change forms .

Yes, there is a hell, and yes, all will come back at the Resurrection.

Faith in the Holy Son is salvation to us all. So that we may escape hell fire; He has come, died, and was resurrected by the Father unto eternal life, the same that He promises to the faithful.

We are certainly not threatened with hell, but are definitely warned of it by the Father; He wants not any to go away from He because why would He want His own creation not to glorify His Way but be condemned? He would rather the sinner came to repentance that we may all share in His Love, happiness, friendship, and salvation. Delightful!

Haven't you heard girl? There are so many, many dimensions out there!

After we leave here, hopefully we will all transfer to a higher plane in which we all are elevated to a state of such intelligence and transcendence that Peace is the only way to live.

Ah, now doesn't that sound like heaven?
