    Being a Blak Man
    Is a struggle
    To exorcise all the demons
    From a treacherous heart

    It’s not about the Machinations
    Of a demon infested world
    Destitute of moral fiber
    In which
    ~Survival
Depends on the wrangling of others

    To be a Blak Man
    {as with any man}
    Is to struggle with the
    ~Obstacles of man
    And the original sins
    ~Jealousy
    ~Envy
    ~Greed
In this world we live in
    And…in the end
    We still be~Dirt.

I humble myself before my maker
    For fear that~Later
    Might find me lacking
    …Acting like
    Today is all there is
    And, tomorrow will never be

    So, I’ve become one
    With my Father
    To show my son
What a Man…is supposed to be

    I told him…
    “Trust in the Father
    For survival
    And experience True Manhood”

    Yes…

    I told my son.
