Hello everybody...I am new to the site and I'm tryna get a feel for it and what not. This is my first time posting and I hope you all enjoy. This poem is not necessarily 100% finished...I may add some more to it, or I may leave it how it is-I'm not sure. I just want to see what yall think...

What do you do when your dreams have been shattered
When all you've been living for is gone
What do you do when the tears fill your eyes
When all hope is lost you can't be strong
When you're screaming out to the top of your lungs
And nobody else hears a sound
Lost, like a mouse in a room full of snakes
On hands and knees, praying to be found
What do you do when your future looks bleek
When inspite of your strength, you're still very weak
What do you do when you've done all you can
You put forth the effort, and still you can't stand
What do you do when your playing for a lost cause
When all the mistakes you've made are as many as the stars
What do you do when all hope is gone away
When from your path in life, you've gone astray
What do you do when you've gave all you could give
What do you do when you question why you live

I'm with deepy, this held me. Sometimes we have to slow things down, and celebrate just getting through a moment in time. Welcome to destee's, I'd love to read more. Make yourself at home.

    Welcome to Destee. Lynne

this poem was really heartfelt and I really enjoyed it. Yes, what can you do, when it seems like you've done enough? I remember this song that said, after you've done all you can, you just stand. Then again, standing, in that sense, isn't always an option. I enjoyed it whether or not it was finished...because the message was still recieved
