Black Spirituality Religion : What Did Jesus Or any Biblical Character Really Look Like?

Yes books started me on the path.....but it is not all that informs me - I have had my own experiences.
Those experiences have left me convinced of that which we are discussing.

Not all but most.

I have witnessed and experienced some

I have proof that is good enough for me...

I experience some things that lends credence to that which we are discussing, and to the rest that I have not experienced...in other words some of my research was experiential.

Yes they do

Thats what I have been doing...
Yeah I agree.....Time you start to provide evidence that supports your convictions..
I have been answering and responding to you statements and queries whilst you have ignored my questions and constantly and continually restate you beliefs and convictionBtw,
Good luck... in your fabled word.

Every fable has a Moral.....find it know it and understand its implication.

Row Row row row your boat
gently down the stream
life is but a dream

That's right. And at some point in our "spiritual" maturity we learn that the source of our "morals" doesn't really matter as much as having them in the first place. And if we have them then we can appreciate them for what they are and the value they represent in our lives. I was raised with Christian values but I'm not a Christian. I understand the aspects that have value. However, at the same time, I still have an aversion to many aspects as well. And often when "we" (generally speaking) can have negative feelings when we find out that we were miseducated or misinformed. That element of "misleading" is against our ethical nature and the contradiction of it coming from a source that purported to be trustworthy because of representations it made... it naturally leads to hard feelings that can last for life. And that makes it hard for people to accept "any" part of it; even the parts that have truth to them even if the literal story is a fable.

@SwagII

What I hope is that we can discuss all of it (because there's great value in doing so) without transferring those hurt or hard feelings onto each other.

Religion's description of biblical events is flawed, etc. How can there be no accurate description of any of the Biblical era's principal characters? Why isn't there an accurate description of Jesus, his mother Mary, and his stepfather since the bible says Joseph isn't his biological father, etc. God did it! Just think now, Why? "There is no accurate description of any of these characters." One would think that at least his believers would be able to describe Jesus! Something just isn't right!

The Source is as important as the Prpose...
The Source of our Morals is our Conscience

And if we have them then we can appreciate them for what they are and the value they represent in our lives.

True

However, at the same time, I still have an aversion to many aspects as well.
Please share that which you find adverse in scripture.

And often when "we" (generally speaking) can have negative feelings when we find out that we were miseducated or misinformed.
Yes...rightly so you should..

That element of "misleading" is against our ethical nature and the contradiction of it coming from a source that purported to be trustworthy because of representations it made... it naturally leads to hard feelings that can last for life.
When approaching Religion and the bible....it is good to know the difference between what is theology and what is scripture.
Theologyis the official interpretation of scripture according to the doctrine of a particular denomination.
Scripture is that which Doctrine and interpretation is based on.
Scripture is Old and has been through many translations.

And that makes it hard for people to accept "any" part of it; even the parts that have truth to them even if the literal story is a fable.
True

@SwagII cup is full and it seems he would rather preach than share and or dialogue.
I find it ironic that the very thing he seems to hate most about religion and the bible is the very same thing he is doing
