Your sites looked good even back then!!!! Wow and even more wow is how the goal of the site sorta changed (I love the current goal cause we all need this community) but you still have some elements of the old site in tact such as the webmaster forum if that counts.

Thanks for the compliments ... :)

Actually, the community part of the site was first, before the webmastering stuff began (sorta, as one depended on the other).

Notice links on the images above, to our "community" and "message board" even back then.

Originally, destee was a networking site for Black Entrepreneurs (before there was a such thing as a networking site). I was a Chat Moderator for a Black Entrepeneur Chat on AOL, and I used destee.com for the business owners to get to know each other ... i offered free online business cards to all (by state or name, see left frame at link), and a picture album for everyone that wanted to network. Our chat room came first, before the forums, and it use to be a hub for many Black Sites that didn't have their own chat ... we all kinda of shared destee chat. In fact, it was these same business owners that prompted me to start my own business, destee.com. I offered them free web pages, just to see if i could deliver what someone else wanted. We had a message board back then, and in 2001 we moved to vBulletin ... from the old Matt Wright's message board script, if memory serves me properly.

So yes, the Black Site Owner's Forum, and things such as that, are definitely pieces of the old days brought forward.

Thanks for walking with me down memory lane ...

    Love You!
