    Peace and Blessings Family,

I really love watching the Animal Planet, and all like shows. Seeing animals in the wild. living (relatively) freely.

There hasn't been an episode yet, where one creation strives to be like another.

I've never seen the lioness, paint spots on her cubs, so they can look like a cheetah.

I've never seen anything like this ... except for us ... Black People.

Why are we the exception, of all the creations on the earth?

Why do we strive (chemically alter ourselves), to look like white people?

Are we ashamed of our own selves?

I enjoy watching the animal planet too. My favorite animals are the ones who clan together with each having their own special place within the pack. I love watching them hunt, nurture, comfort, and protect each other in their own little ways.

As for me, I don't think I chemically altered my hair because I was ashamed. The deep rooted cause was probably more about joining the masses. My surface reasoning would be, I liked how it looked. The different styles I could do.

Whatever the reasons was for it, I can certainly say it wasn't because I was ashamed. You should have seen some of the ways I'd wore my hair before and after the perm. I can imagine what many had to say about it. So ashamed?....naaah, that wasn't it.

    what creation...

it's a deep deep phychological abnormalady that was put in us from slavery i do believe, that's how they keep us under control even today,i don't mean just with drugs and alchohol but the deep seeded need to be liked by whites[i know that alot of you are gonna shout about that statement]but i've seen brothers in a dishiki with a process[no joke]why do alot of black women get long beautiful braids and after awhile comb out the braids to give the appearance of long hair, why do some sisters dye thier hair blond?why are our teen killing one another for a jacket with a white man's name on it?have you ever heard older blacks after being[scolded]on the job say this[he was lucky i didn't have a drink in me or i woulda told him something]heck i've heard folks in my family say the same thing, but we don't need that drink to tell each other off now do we?it's deep seated self hatred and it's not subsiding.

    I love me.:SuN030: some Discovery Channel/Nature
The last one I watched was about Afrikan Black ANTS.

The Afrikan Black Ants, is a natural Illustration of how we are to function as Black people. Those ANTS work together unlike Mr. (renegade) Grasshopper who have no set path, and when winter comes the grasshopper knocks on the ANTS door for food, he, the grasshopper failed to store up for the winter like the ANTS did.

Why I once permed my hair? Lack of Knowledge of my True self.

ITA (I totally agree) with beloved Oldiesman.

That is why it is vital and essential we Think with original thoughts of how it was before our people became corrupted with the Human Being european mind-set, and all that took place after they lobotomized our ancestors mind-set with their Human Being mind-set, then we will fully understand where we are now and where we are going.

Those still striving to be like others haven't returned to their right Divine mind-set as of yet, if ever. I meditate we wll do.

If you understand the beginning well, the end will not trouble you.

*sighs* Deuteronomy 28 at it's finest.........

What is wrong with having options? If women want to staighten their hair what is the big deal? With some women it really isn't that deep. Some of us just want to be able to have a little diversity. As far as options go, what kind of options do you have with natural hair? I've seen women with natural hair dyed bonde-are they trying to look like someone else since obviously we aren't natural blondes???

IMO we need to stop this natural/perm debate and accept each other for who we are. There are more important things black people need to focus on besides why someone chooses to perm their hair.:peace:

I think it is natural for one to look at their own individual choices, and determine that they are not done, because of self-hate or shame. I won't argue with that. My point is the collective. Look at the collective of us. When you can look around and see the majority of the people, being other than themselves, then something is really wrong.

It would be okay if there were just a few, select Sisters straightening their hair. The argument of it being an individual choice, would be a reasonable one. But that is not the case, as it is the MAJORITY of Sisters that do this. Not only do we do it to ourselves, but we do it to our babies, soon out of the womb.

It's as if, they had us cut off our right leg, to get a job ... immediately after slavery ... as they did with our hair.

Then every Mother began cutting the right leg off of her babies, so they too could grow up and get a job, be accepted.

The babies do the same, to their babies ... and eventually ... all the babies would say, i do it because i like walking on one leg ... it's okay ... it's good.

That's what we do to our hair.

We cut off the way God made it ... and we defend our right to do it.

But look what it is rooted in.

They've thoroughly convinced us, that our own stuff is no good ... and we perpetuate it.

I think this is very important and until we learn to love ourselves ... nothing will be right for us in this world.

If you can Sisters, don't look at it as an indivdual choice (even though it is) ... but look at our people collectively. Look across the landscape. Look what is happening to little Black Girls, that are often too young to make these individual choices. Their Mothers are making the choice for them. Most of us have had our hair pressed or permed, as a child. This fact almost makes "individual choice" moot, as it is not that.

No matter though ... i love all of my Sisters ... pressed, permed, or natural.

I'm just sounding the alarm ... that something is mighty mighty wrong.

If lions were painting spots on their cubs, to look like cheetahs ... white america would be documenting this, and we would be hearing about it all over the television and newspapers. There would be endless studies, trying to determine why this is. Just like when the bees started dying / changing.

But Black Women chemically altering themselves and their babies. That is not even newsworthy. No big deal. They won't even speak on it. Not a sound is being made. Why? Because that is what they want. They have industries and corporations that make their living off of Black Women altering themselves. When Black Women alter themselves, strive to be more like white women, that reinforces their sense of supremacy. They don't want that to stop. There is no talk of this in the news, and even when a Sister says something, other Sisters quickly defend their individual choice. We don't even wanna hear about it.

The sad part is, they use us, for their own dastardly ends.

There are no commercials talking about Sisters and their natural hair, as though we don't exist. But how many commercials have you seen with white women and their natural hair? Too many to count. When and if we ever collectively complain about this, you know what their answer will be? It's not that we don't want to advertise Black Women's natural hair, it's that Black Women hate their own natural hair. It's not our fault that they don't like themselves. We don't put it on television because yall don't like your own selves.

That was Imus' response ... they do it to themselves.

In the Marcus Garvey video ... it was said ... his own people don't like him, which gave power to the government to mistreat him.

    This is a perpetual trap.

We must love ourselves, the way God made us. If we don't love us, no one will.

:SuN030: If it is not Natural it is not real, and what is not real is not in Divine Order.
Staying or returning to our Natural everything is one with Nature, that Divine part of us we have long forgotten.

Sure, we must not make this our primary focus, yet it is part of revealing the whole Natural people we once were.

We must dig deep into the damages the chemicals in a perm causes.

If we imitate others we are not being our true selves. It is call imitation truth, and there lies lies and deception.

To address the differences as to why perm, and why natural, is part of the Black womb gender (female) teaching, so others do not get themselves trapped in illusion/false realities as many of did but no longer do.

We are too. Get Real. Be Real. Stay Real. It is in the Real that we Know the Divine right thing to do.

If black woman are believed to be trying to imitating white woman by perming and straightening their hair. Would white woman be trying to imitate a black woman by tanning her skin, or having collagen pumped into her lips?

I believe black woman and black men and we as blacks have a lot of undeserved stress in our lives and find it hard to focus, because we are like runners in a race with no finish line in sight. Purposely put into the laws and society designed to destroy us.

So much envy, anger and hate turned back on ourselves must be addressed ( changed not discussed or debated ).

I heard the other day about the lower number of Blacks Americans taking advantage of the medical doctors and health care facilities in America. I then thought about the trust those same medical doctors and facilities violated by experimenting with sterilization of our woman and men. How this practiced Genocide and couldn’t be trusted. How this country blocks us from medical care and now wants us to believe they truly have our interest at heart.

Blacks need to stop buying hard liquor. Drink a glass of wine sometimes, have a beer socially. Alcohol was used to destroy the Indian nation. We have to work harder to clear up our minds so we can take another look at things. Get off drugs… put the street thugs out of business first. Rock the process and keep going from here. We need hope and clarity of mind.

We have to stop praying and start playing. GOD helps those who helps themselves. He can only move thru us if we initiate the process of change.

Religion is used to hold us down, we have to take it back to lift ourselves up.

GOD moves thru others all the time to help individuals, he is always with us.
Give him the chance to move thru you.
Get Active and keep his ten commandments.
The rest of WORLD has totally broke covenant with him.
We are the one's that are still wandering like they said MOSE's DID.

    Billie Holiday sang; Strange Fruit

Hanging from a tree. Blood on the leaves. Blood on the roots.

    Southern trees bear strange fruit
    Blood on the leaves
    Blood at the root
Black bodies swinging in the southern breeze
Strange fruit hanging from the poplar trees
Pastoral scene of the gallant south
The bulging eyes and the twisted mouth
The scent of magnolia sweet and fresh
Then the sudden smell of burning flesh
Here is a fruit for the crows to pluck
    for the rain to gather
    for the wind to suck
    for the sun to rot
    for the tree to drop
Here is a strange and bitter crop

Get rid the "N" word. Petition it be removed from Webster, dictionaries give words validity. Take them from the book. NAACP's symbolic burial :bully:

Don’t say the children are out of control. Adults are out of control.
If a Congressman or Woman breaks the law why don't they have to go to jail?
Like BUSH the law doesn't apply to them it was written to only hold us back.
In 2004 BUSH said: " The Constitution is just a G.D. piece of paper! "

If we allow the government to take tax dollars and not provide street lights and street cleaning in our neighborhoods we aren’t getting what they take the money for!

Direct the anger and process into the system and have expectations from everyone you encounter.

Our tax dollars are given to immigrants and other countries and races and we are left out.

That is weak knee acceptance. Speak up like you would if someone stepped on your new shoes.

We know they give us higher interest rates, less loans and no services afford to all others and services are bought with our tax dollars.

    Now that is social welfare!

This whole country was built on socialism. Our tax system is a social process. Congress health care and salaries are a social system, our roads and bridges being built and maintained is a social system. Helping Britain, CHINA, and India outsourse our service jobs and possibilities, we socially support IRAQ, build schools and hospitals after our white unelected officials destroyed it is a welfare social system.

See Repubicans say these things to try to make one embarassed about needing. Asking and demanding what is deserved.

We can change things before the 2008 election and have a chance to help our selves, if we fault not to many opportunities remain.

Register as an independant. Our vote is suppose to be secret. All americans should be this way. Take away the default knowledge of government. They use it to CONTROL ANYWAY!:rain:

This takes away the control even the Democrats have on us. Then we get some power!

They keep saying Blacks always want welfare and a handout, but since the beginning. All Countries around the world, France, China, Britain, The U.S.A. and China, all seven of the permanent members of the UN built their countries off Africa’s resources both those in the earth and walking on the land. US!

They keep instability going by building bombs and starting wars with our tax dollars. Petition Congress to set aside one dollar of Black American tax payers
refund. That would be over 40 million dollars for our welfare. Try 10 dollars, use this money to help our youth.

Wouldn't take long to reach a billions. ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP YOURSELF! LOVE YOURSELF, and THOSE TRAPPED just like you? Take my ten.. take a hundred each year. Give up one night at the club. Evenually we will see we are doing the right thing!

Build schools for our children and adult education in technology, start stores that sell fruit and meat in every state, make sells and live off each other, properly in a humanitarian way and not like the white system we parctice of killing. Over taxing and abuse of each other. Make a profit, but not to distruction of each other. Don't accept rising prices that make our elderly eat dog food!

WE can strive like no OTHER.
