It should have been me
That you come home to everynight
My back you rub
When the stress of the days
Have become a burden
My eyes you gaze into
With such affection
My lips you caress
It should be my womb
That your seed is nurtured in
It should be my heart you protect
But instead you have given it all away
Squandered it , on a sorry excuse of a woman
Takin the potential, the warmth
All the man you could have been
And placed it in the hands
Of someone less than worthy
For all this I thank you
From the bottom of my heart
I thank God everyday
That you took it all away from me
For a moment I was grief stricken
And compltley heartbroken
Until I found him
He who has taken me to a place
that heaven must feel like
Cherishes me
Loves me
All that I am today
I owe in part to his love
He has shown me, all that you would never be
Thank You
For showing me how unworthy you truly were
Because It could have been you
And that my dear
Would have been a shame
