"The life of a single human being is worth a million times more than all the property of the richest man on earth... Far more important than a good remuneration is the pride of serving one's neighbor. Much more definitive and much more lasting than all the gold that one can accumulate is the gratitude of a people. - Che Guavera

    What are your thoughts people?

    Well said earth..

I have a question.... Do you think that Capitalism helped destroy our community and how do you see Socialism benefiting us as a people?

Are there any other opinions out there?

    Right on Earth!!!

And that's just it.. Capitalism is based on self greed and a selected "class". The rich gets richer while the poor gets screwed and "fuked" over. With Capitalism comes class-ism and this has been a tool used to keep "our" people divided since the begining of the 20th century.

I wouldn't call myself a socialist but I do see Socialism as a way to improve our community. Socialism is actually a system that is based off Ancient Afrikan communal tradition. Everyone works together for the benefit of the community. There is no rich or poor because we all play a position, thus we are all important.

I think that regardless of the economic system some folk will always get the shaft....socialism is not however the answer...I'm not in favor of sharing the wealth to hell with that I keep what I make and if I don't make it oh well. Capitalism is not the root of all evil..there is no system whereby everyone will be treated equally that's utopia a dream that doesn't and never will exist...

I think, in theory, practices such as socialism and communism are good ideas... Capitalism could never have been a good idea, in theory, IMO. I recently read the autibiography of Assata Shakur.. near the end of it, she talks about life in Cuba. However, one of my friends suggested that all socialist countires are dictatorships.....

    A dictatorship...

That's probably the only flaw I find with Socialism. To improve it, we should have a council that is chosen by the people to run the country.

Socialism may not be the main answer, but it's more of a solution than capitalism. What I've notice is the poverty rate in those countries are usually slim to none and that is because those "few" are too lazy to work.

Ayo Earth, Im flattered but you could keep the coffee. Im more of a green tea kind of person. lol
