does it cause bloating? does it bring on other diseases u might not get otherwise?
In moderation, the health effects may actually be beneficial depending on what you drink. When overused, the primary long term health effects are liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, impairment of immune function, and hardening of arteries (leading to heart attack and/or stroke). Alcoholics suffering withdrawal smptoms without proper treatment can die, the withdrawal is much worse than for other drugs (including cocaine and heroin). Also remember that alcohol can impair judgment, which can indirectly bring on other health problems, e.g. drinking and driving, greater likeliihood of having unprotected sex--STDs, etc.

It wasn't meant for consumption, but only for external medical use for killing germs and sterilizing.
It literally BURNS tissue.
Alcohol is one of the few substances that can actually penetrate the blood-brain barrier and damage the brain.
