This year for the summer my daughter will be playing the piano. I think one fundamental children should learn is how to play a musical instrument of some sort. Being that they are taking music programs out of schools, due to "recent budget cuts". Also, I'm going to start teaching her another language. IMO, children should be taught to speak other languages other than their own...I believe it builds their confidence in communicating. What are some other fundamentals kids should be taught that may not be taught in schools? And why?
