Sis. Willa, I'm not seeing the same America that you are describing. In one of your posts, defending capitalism, you said that under #45, Blacks are doing better than ever in recent history. How so? And remember, when you point to lower unemployment numbers, recognize that people are rolled off the unemployment list after being on it for a period of time without finding a job.

But, I'm not seeing the trickle down effect caused by the significant tax savings given as a gift to the wealthy and that helping everyone else. Why should the wealthy not have to pay a federal income tax?

But even if you believe that Black people are better off economically under #45, how do you speak to his racist rants and should they be overlooked by us simply because some believe we are "better off" under his administration? Talk about living in a bipolar world which makes me think of how house slaves must have viewed their situation. Still a slave, but thankful that at least they get to work in the big house and not toil in the fields. So, thank u massa!

I have thought about your comments in favor of capitalism and against democratic socialism. I've learned a lot from your opinions and your humor. But the world that I want to live in, I just don't see it being described in your argument. Why can't something be done to close the gap between the wealthy and poor and we still thrive as a nation? What's wrong with fair and higher wages paid to the working class so they can live their best life? Why can't we show more compassion toward each other and have affordable and quality healthcare for everyone? Why can't a college education be affordable so that families that live in the inner cities can send their kids to college like the families living in the Hamptons?

Compared to you, I know I sound naive and uninformed on this topic but why does this have to be a black and white issue--either this or that--ignore a different paradigm that might help us to be really better off. I may not want to live anywhere else for reasons that you have stated when it comes to enjoying certain freedoms that our Constitution gives us, but as Black citizens, I think it is critical that we do what we can to help this nation become better under a democratic rule that embraces equity and justice for all

Do you think that capitalism can be improved to eliminate racism, and economic inequality?
I so appreciate your response Queenie. So I will give you my thoughts which does not at all remove the view you see. My thought may only shine a light in a corner, which will be determined by the people who read. So I will also speak generally to those who read.

First I will quote the Lord who said, "The poor will always be with us." Now there are those who will not give that any kind of credit, however it is holding true so far to this date.

Here is what I have seen and studied as it has been experienced and recorded in every culture through the ages of historians. Speaking of the "gap" as the topic:

There is the Robinhood method, stealing from the rich to give to the poor, but this has never been successful, in the reality that Robin keeps the money and goes to jail.

Next is Communism where the evil, liar king sends out his edict in Sherwood to tax the rich and the middle income and the poor claiming a level playing field filling in the gap. This method makes everyone equally poor except for the king and the tip top of his government and other elites. It is not only authoritarian but totalitarian.

With this brand of governance, it is enforced, mandatory by law, with consequences of death, disappearing people and prison. The odd thing about Communism it is always presented as relief for the poor, the fair and just government, scorn for the rich, hate for corporations and especially money. Hate that money -- capitalism. And then the arrests and shootings start -- to keep control of people who have discovered the scam and poverty. The math does not support an ability to take care of Communist bills. So the buying of proper housing falls off, roads and freeways crumble, people have to wait to have their teeth fixed until the dentist can afford enough novocain for everyone for pain relief.

Remember Eldridge Cleaver? He said he went to Cuba because it claimed to have bread on every table. But then he found out that's all they had was bread and he didn't want to raise his little daughter there so he got out. After traveling around to other Communist nations the story was all the same poverty for the people. Finally after finding out how bad it was and what a lie Communism is, he made a deal with the law, turned himself in with the U.S. and did his ten years. It was worth it to him.

Socialism: is the entry gate to Communism. Venezuela claims to be Socialist and Sanders uses Venezuela as his beautiful model of Socialist perfection. Remember the Venezuelan kid in his twenties who was desperately out looking for a dog to eat? He wasn't finding any at the time because everyone was eating pets.

Scandinavian countries have turned more to capitalism now because their Socialist economies were collapsing.

We have got it good here. We have got all kinds of programs including welfare.

A question was asked; "Do you think capitalism can be improved to eliminate racism and economic inequality?"

Everywhere I go there are Black professionals, TV and the movies are filled with people of color. How is that possible with overt racism? I am some what a west coast person. I don't see what is happening like in the South? My family is treated well. So I think some of it has to do with what we choose to do for employment and socially.

I truly believe that if we work at what we love, that makes for success. Does that mean wealth. Maybe not, but it might be enough to be happy. There are a lot of employment opportunities that require a specialized training or education. I found out as an example that even though I'm a pretty good artist, I am so much better at it because of college classes finding out what tools I could use.

Regarding economic equality, what by law? It never works. In the first place is everyone the same? No. Then how can we expect across the board equal pay? And I notice every time the minimum pay goes up, so does the rent.

What do you love? Find a way to make a business of it. I think we can talk more about that with ideas. More talk later.

And I have a picture of you as a devout worshiper of Communism driving an old oxidized 50s Studebaker. Is that a propeller as your hood ornament? I bet when you get up to forty-five it spins really fast huh?! heh heh heh.

Oooh, am I dressed in a black leather duster wearing a beret and boldly striding down the street carrying a pump shotgun?
Or maybe wearing a beret and sporting a rather shaggy beard while staring off knowingly into the distance horizon?

Well whatever floats your boat.
But I suggest you keep your wet dreams to yourself.

Good morning Sis Queenie, Just some ideas that might be usable for side income until it takes off to a sustainable income since we aren't going to get equalized income without losing our free democracy. How about these...

How about putting finished ideas in a book? Take pictures of the idea.
Is cooking anyone's love, get your family recipes together. Cook up the tasty dish to be served. Put the pictures together with the food item recipe for a book to sell on the internet. Take your books to fairs to sell. Make sure there is a web site so people can order, and get business cards cheap to give away as advertisement to your business website.

Maybe fashion is a love, even for men. Learn to sew. Ask questions. Fabrics handle differently. Take pictures of your design put it up on the internet for sale.

I think another good capitalist success is wood working, man or woman if one has the talent to create a sturdy work of art in carving -- a cane would sell. Wood working on anything. What you do originally is not something that can be found anywhere. It is your business style only.

Handyman is as valuable as a doctor. In my family I would wish for a doctor, a lawyer and a handyman for repairs and additions. Since I don't believe there is such a true thing as economic equality without force, there would have to be heavy taxes which is the Socialist/Communist base source. Neither is able to back it up without making people servants to control to prevent rebellion.

Guess I'll make this one short. Love ya.

"The linkage between Trump’s cartoon presidency and the corporate takeover of environmentalism is anchored in recognizing the magic thinking involved, but more, to stop and recognize that the manufacturing of narratives here is really about a manufacturing of obedience to authority."

Essay in it's entirety here (note long):

I leave that article "American Psychology" for the readers to analyze. All the anarchist buzzwords are there. Remember scripturally speaking, it talks about in the Last Days there will be a twist of truth saying that good will said to be bad and bad will said to be good.

I just want to take a look at this usage of the word "Fascist" by those who want to conquer and enslave our freedom. So now the word fascist and fascism has been flipped from the description of Nazi violence and Antifa (anti-fascist, a lie) by force, masks and violence to now be describing the system of our free society fought for in history and organized over years for a multicultural trust with citizens walking down the same sidewalks, shopping in the same stores, having confidence in multiracial people in our lives as our doctors, teachers, persons with which we trust to do business. So now the dissimilating sales pitch to the citizens of this country is that our country is based on a controlling fascist structure, nobody else as if the Black race has not got anything to do with the planning and final strength of this country.

Why, one might ask, are there these articles ripping America, and all white men as fascists (remember all the white people who followed Rev, Dr. Martin Luther King?). These types of articles are seeking to convince you into joining up as their new bourgeois (middle class) recruits for their Socialist/Communist government to overthrow America and insert their control over this nation and you. Religion would be out, individual recognition for freedom would be out and Laws would be in, managing your lives.

KO: "I have been thinking about the absurdity of this age and its delusional mythos a lot lately, Phil. What does it mean to succeed on an increasingly brutal, unequal, unjust and dying world? To attain the hollow grandeur and lucre promised by capitalist mythology?".........From a dialog between Ken Orphan and Phil Rockstroh; "Bearing witness at aeons end: The wound becomes the tomb"

The Democrats and the Republicans have two faces each. A Red as well as a Blue will promise us anything as well as their own to garner loyalty and the powerful block votes such hollow gestures guarantees. Governments care more about power and the control of finances then racial superiority or even racial cohesiveness.
Okay, I'm willing to learn. How has this last Republican President turned his back on Black citizens? According to all that is said about Trump there should be a storm of typing making a long itemized list of evidence.
