You hail from NYC SOF,
So you know if one wants let's say, get into the coin operated vending business of anything......you best know there are 'other people' to talk and deal with other than the pencil pushers at city hall. This is for anything from juke boxes or pinball and the old fashion punch cards to the tampon machine in the ladies restroom and everything else in-between. If one doesn't know 'The Who else' then they will quickly find out, eh eh one way or the other.
A casino no matter how it presents itself, whatever kind of facade is painted on it's face is not much more then an elaborate vending machine business, a song and dance jukebox experience of a dime a play or three songs for a quarter. But one still has to talk to the very same people whether one wants a set of punch cards for the locale cafe or bar crowd, a candy machine in the hotel lobby or throwing down x number of million(s) for a casino. It's all the same business that are run by the same people.
Now understand they're not generally nasty people nor dishonest and in fact quite up front about it all, 8 to 10%.(off the top (casinos)) would be my guess.
After that they wash their hands of it and what someone else wants to do with that particular vending business AND profits is none of their concern. They're not in the business of searching for honest souls that are going to do right with the net proceeds.

Shrug, it's just the good old fashion American way don't ya know.

I just realized the video I did get posted says that the Black foot was awarded $800,000. I presume that runs out. which is more than $168,000. I actually think Cherokee get more than that, because that amount was for kids as they reach adulthood at $7347. X however many kids in the Cherokee nation turn 18 through a year of 12 months of birthdays. This is where I give up. :math:I just picked up a scenario which in further consideration could be in reality a great deal more.

:mirror:Oh, Willa who needs math when you are so brilliant in other places. heh heh

Pretty much that's the way it goes with the local Italian businessmen in Italian enclaves who knew to go to the local underboss to have his little hole in the wall candy store approved by the Don who would his order his loanshark to front the seed money. Generally speaking nickle and dime legitimate retail operations in other areas of NYC were pretty much unfettered until they were noticed by expansion and an obvious rise in clientele usually via expensive media advertising then they'd get a visit with a protection from robbery or vandalism offer and if the lieutenant smelled serious money the owner would get a partnership offer from the underboss. This tribute wasn't even worth the time to the dons of the five families so a small percentage would go up the family food chain and the rest was the payroll for the lower echelon made men and their associates. Heist provide serious cash or goods to be sold for fast cash to bankroll illegal ventures and the dons get a sizable portion of that as tribute. Anything dealing with large scale lucrative illegal activities or legal ventures yielding high cash value directly impacting territorial rights of more then one family is directly handled by the underboss and the family consigliere and sometimes even the don himself. If it's local or an activity that one of the 5 families unilaterally controls most often the family running that territory or illegal activity collects for themselves. There are illegal activities and ventures in all 5 Boros and the 3 surrounding Counties like Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester County that the 5 families cut up like pies. The existing 5 families are still the Gambinos, Genovese, Colombo, Lucchese and the Bonannos who were lucky the other 4 families just temporarily banned them and not just outright whack the entire family over that Joe Pistone incident. All this is not some secret mafia conspiracy theory but well documented public access information.

As of late the Russian mafia has come to America. As an unofficial agreement the Italian Mafia will still conduct business as usual and the Russians will set up shop using the Eastern Seaboard of America as it's jump off point for their usual international crime syndicate operations.

But, she is so cute in her pink ribbons. :nails: I've paid her big money not to give any personal information about me beyond what I already blab about in the forums.

Robert Reich's opinion article needs a little adjustment for his agenda driven piece, hoping people take it without question in his effort to establish a Socialist group think. The term, "Banks are too big to fail." was said by President Obama.

Reich said how Socialism is for the rich while the lower workers have to deal with "harsh capitalism." - Oh a cute Pampers ad just popped up with a new born resting on mother looking up to see her face, "Is you my momma?" Robert Reich has found capitalist money to buy ad sponsors for his article. Uh, isn't that a bit of capitalism? Why yes, it is.

He accuses GM and Sears for closing a few stores and laying off employees to their own advantage. Well it's either that or going totally out of business and all the stores close, laying off all the employees. I know that people who buy into Socialist ideology believe corporate businesses should pay part of the granny caretakers from birth to funeral costs. But how is that possible unless the Fed. government wants to subsidize the cost of rent, utilities, wages and the most expensive cost is insurance in case somebody should slip, fall and sue. The cost of buying the products to sell is great because some things don't sell, that is a business loss. Some people think businesses get all that stuff to sell for free, no cost to them. No that is the ongoing problem for business, consumer sales which is always at odds with the inventory excess that didn't sell.

But here is another surprise, when the government pays for anything, they raise your taxes to get that money back. Wage earners are never going to pay back the billions it costs the Socialist governments. That is the exact reason Socialist and Communist countries fail leaving families to abject poverty. Socialist governments impose a hopeless state of the people who can't even imagine lifting themselves to anything better because of all the rules and laws. The bootstraps to lift themselves to a better way of life belong to the government. That is what makes this type of government so ignorant; or, is it actually a knowing totalitarian dictating government that is in it for their own power and gain by having the people work for them? The citizens have to be driven by consequences to keep the tax masters with high officials in their merciless appetite
for power and wealth. There will be projects everywhere on a level of "equality." And there will be spies incase anyone wants a better anything. Take a look at all the models of Socialism gone before. Eventually everything is so bad and even cruel that the dictators are driven out in a bloody battle with the loss of beautiful people citizens, and it takes years to recover and put everything back together.

Former President Barack Obama was quoting the title of Andrew Ross Sorkins book addressing the economic consequences of our banking failures impact on American finances and the ensuing film "Too Big to Fail".

The Republican party is for the rich and the Democratic party pretends to be for the non-rich. This month is my 20 year anniversary of my comment on economics:

http://toxicdrums.com/economic-wargames-by-dal-timgar.html

I haven't heard any Black leaders suggesting mandatory accounting in the schools for Black kids. Years ago some website claimed the Jesse Jackson had a net worth of $10,000,000.

https://www.therichest.com/celebnetworth/celeb/televangelists/jesse-jackson-net-worth/

No change, that does not make sense. I have no idea how accurate these things are.
