When I read about foreigners getting kidnapped in Africa, I always suspect we are not being told the whole story. Africans are known for their hospitality to visitors. Its an amazing story. Not surprising then that big corporations like it in Africa because they can go there with their “security contractors” to make sure their operations remain secret.

Thanks for posting this Afrika. These smoke and mirrors disinformation campaigns to cover up dubious international incidents "Gone wrong" have been going on for decades and have become quite comedic in a weird fashion. This sad song is akin to the so-called young White Poly-sci college students who supposedly travel to certain regions "With hostile intent towards America" and conveniently stray close to our enemies borders. Now these rather confused young White college students are supposedly traveling hand to mouth saving their pennies as backpackers but when countries like Iran and North Korea arrest them for espionage a certain version of the truth alights if one can read between the lines of the State Departments public release about the poor young White college students backpacking with throwaway cell-phones, K6 satcom terminals, encrypted tablets, GPS trackers, various credit cards, cameras and other high tech surveillance items that really can't be explained. The punch lines are when the lost little darlings rich White parents hit the media with tales of woe about their wee ones just discovering themselves abroad and strayed far off the tourist trail (Like 200 miles off course) and were captured by hostile enemy forces. These are the smoke and mirrors con jobs like in Iran Shane Bower, Sara Short, Peter Moore, Shaun Gabriel & Joshua (No last name released) provided and in NK Otto Warmbier incident that blockbuster spy movies are made of years after these CIA sponsored non-events are declassified by Congress. Security for these little under the radar forays to the fenceline are usually provided by Academi, G4S and DynCorp. Who else?

I also don’t believe that when an American thinks of going for holiday, the first place he thinks about is North Korea.

And when they are caught doing whatever underground activities they went to do there, the media here spins stories of how innocent tourists are being mistreated by a brutal regime…
