    and so
it must come to an end
the sex and disrespect that accompanies it
    for you see
    you don’t love me
and you told me that you don’t
so for me now…sex is like i just won’t
can’t and don’t allow myself to
    feel that way about you
when telling you that i loved you ran freely
while you were so selective with whom you shared your love
i thought that i was being selective too
    instead
    i heard from you
that i never should have loved you in the first place
    that you never loved me
    not even once
not even when we wrote about lunch
not when i became pregnant with your child
or when we laughed and ran wild
or over long leisurely walks for ice cream
    discussing our emotions
    running too freely
i ran like the wind with it
    and you walked away easily
guess that you called me silly

    silly girl…
made me the focus of her world
when what really really made me tick
was this other young chick with the booty and hips
    and you dropped me
    like i was scalding hot
and i held on for the sex…sex…was love and love was sex?
    either way it shouldn’t matter
cause you told me to my face that you don’t love me
    and that you never did
wow…i have never misinterpreted someone as much as i misinterpreted you
makes me feel like i need to go back to school
    because i am a fool
you say that our friendship was never in question
but i have to ask you…
    were you ever my friend?

    OH REDLADY!

So sorry if someone hurt you. But, rejoicing in your wisdom.
If you asked the question...you already have the answer.
Wonderfully written, you speak to my soul so many ,many
dark and confusing times with your soulful poetic rhymes.
    Thank you!
    BLESSINGS ON YOUR HOUSE!
