Didn't watch it, forgot it was coming on, don't watch TV much if any, so what's with the feedback that's going on?

Let Me Know is my favorite Aaliyah song What’s yours.png

Timbaland clearly thinks Lifetime deserves every ounce of crap being flung their way for the Aaliyah biopic that premiered Saturday ... and during his attack on the network, no digital punches were pulled.

The rapper/producer went on a social media rampage last night urging people to boycott the "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B"... using a slew of hilarious memes.

Once the movie was over -- Timbo had no problem gloating to fans who watched the flick anyway -- taunting them and the network with a funny video post.

Timbaland wasn't the only celebrity who had choice words for the movie ... DL Hughley also chimed in -- saying, "Aaliyah is the Soul Plane of Lifetime!"

Guess she didn't learn from Drake and his attempt to touch Aaliyah

They better leave Aaliyah alone before Tim get swole like Suge on Vanilla Ice

I think the problem is that none of the actors came close to looking like the actual people. The guy that played Damen Dash way taller, skinny, and lighter. But I think the real deal was the under age situation with R.Kelly. If People Magazine had false info, they would have sued them long time ago. IMO, she was no portrayed in a bad light, and I think this is a simple case of it being close to home. Because I'm sure they have seen Ray, The Temps, and other biopics that showed the good and bad of who ever it was.

    Peace!

Probably should have went with the VH1 TLC style bio.

Really was intrigued by how they used the actors/actresses and the storyline that wasn't one-dimensional and still tapped in to the more centered topics or events that they had to go through.

Was R. Kelly a key figure in the "biopic"?
If so, not sure what anyone would have been thinking.

When I think Aaliyah, I rarely think R. Kelly, but more so The Superfriends

Tim, Mags, Miss E, Ginuwine, Playa, etc

That may have been the problem also, like I said, the only negative thing if you just had to pick something was the R.Kelly relationship. But she was shown to be self respecting, very smart, and strong.

    Peace!

Not only did they not resemble the real-life people, the casting agents didn't even TRY to get anyone who remotely embodied the essence of everyone portrayed in that film.... especially Aaliyah

    It was disgraceful trash

Man R.Kelly took up only a very, very small part, the rest was on her and her climb to the top. If they wanted to smear her, they could have added the Jay Z story line. IMO, the focus was on her and her climb to the top.

    Peace!

    :toast::toast:

Did you notice how tall, light, and skinny Damen Dash was....

    He stuck out the most...

You see how they showed him in a thuggish light at first? Why could they have showed him to be a smart business man like he was, and is? It would have still been the same.

    Peace!
