"Judge them all you want but they were born and are willing to die to usher in a radical transformation. Train them properly, and your so-called "ganstas" become your revolutionaries"
Man old schoolers denounce what the youth of today are doing. They talk about what rap has become and want nothing to do with the youth. Yt created this environment and we all have fallen into it. I remember when you couldn't say bi*$# in a song and get air play. I also remember when you couldn't have half naked women in videos if you wanted air play. I also remember how we were coming together and changing our negative attitude because of informative rap music. YT put an end to that by not promoting anything positive and started endorsing gangsta rap and soft pornographic rap videos. This was where the money was so we flocked to it. Delivering stories about our wretchedness was deemed as keeping it real and we loved it we could relate to it. This started in the eighties. Fast forward to now. What If these kids could not curse and have bullsh*&% lyrics. They would probably be some of the most prolific poets of all time. They are very intelligent, fierce, stubborn and relentless for what they believe in. We need them in this revolution in our march to freedom. What are your thoughts and how do we begin this transformation of our youth? Power to the people!!
