Black People : We must unite to defend our communities

I don't mean to sound aggravated at you but I'm REALLY tired of our people talking about racism and exploitation. The existence of a half black president is proof that we CAN do anything we want to do if we stop viewing racism as a hurdle. Racism will NEVER end and even if it did people would find something else to be elitists/bigoted about so we need to stay focused on where we want to be and not how it was.

No problem. The only solution i can build towards is organizing with those who i have in common a struggle against the oppression in which i speak. And for me this struggle is not limited to one specific race or nationality. I live in an increasingly global society so...

Unite with those who you find commonality and BUILD. There is no singular solution to a myriad of problems that confront all of us on this planet. Move with those who are willing to move with you.

Chuck:

Good afternoon, elder bruh...

But, these simply 'either or' and 'us vs them' scenarios, y'know?

I. e., the ideal was/is of people of color uniting around a common intent and purpose, as though we and they feel and think alike etc. as regards this nation's white bigots and racists ad naseum, also though the reality was and is of individuals and groups of social climbers etc. promoting their cliquest and/or self serving interests etc.

Simply put:

Just what does somebody from--say--South Central L. A.--truly have in common with--also say--a resident of Balwin Hills?

So, who is advocating what shall 'we' protect and save and who is this 'us' they're directing the call outs/ups/etc., too??

Therefore, perhaps we too need to revise our claims etc., as to who is against and for us, via this latest desegregation era, as a given...

My point:

No use trying to build new alliances and/or create new movements etc. but on the basis of old illusions/leading to wrongheaded conclusions/possible with my and mine/you and yours/etc. ending up doing more of the losing...

Points taken which is why i tend to rely on my own network where i dont have to deal with the paranoia and lack of trust issues which plague many organizations.

One only loses if one is not moving forward and expanding in social consciousness. Sometimes we must learn how to measure our own growth and development without depending on the collective as an indicator of our own consciousness. I know some will raise issue with what i just stated but lets face it. revolutions have never been initiated by an enlightened mass but a few committed individuals with a vision and energy that matched that vision, and those individuals acted upon that vision. I can come here and debate every day going around in circular arguments and seemingly never moving forward but in real time i can also be taking action on a larger scale which none here can see but that does not mean this activity is not real. Take this for what it is. A testing ground. Just make sure that you do your own part whatever that be and recognize if you are expanding in consciousness that consciousness does not develop or operate within a vacuum.

For example, i can speak 24/7 against the arizona immigration policy and equate it with apartheid, which may sound nonsensical to even a moajority of folks on this board, then the next day attend a rally with over 50,000 people and listening as the majority of keynote speakers themselves equate this policy with apartheid. Obviously then even though there is no clear solution presented to the problem at least there is some movement of folks growing who are speaking a common language and are operating on a similar wavelength, and that struggle has been there since the 80s but diverged at points yet it is still there with the potentiality to be even more powerful than it was in its infancy. you see some of us just got lulled to sleep when mandela got released from jail and started waking up after obama moved troops to afghanistan, and now as we awake there is a movement alive that is even larger than it was back in 1990 but it has broadened, yet we who are active find ourselves still in the vanguard just by our mere presence.
