    In the Spirit of Study,

We Christians have harmed, and we’re sorry

... No need for a quote alert with “Spotlight.” This film recounts the Boston Globe’s exposure of the wicked behavior of abusive priests, and the institutional church’s arrogant, evil coverup. Characters in the film share personal testimony that they just refuse to go any more to a church that could act so cruelly ...

We Christians have done a lot of harm, as the movie “Spotlight” reminds us. Kerry Hayes/Open Road FilmsTNS

    Honestly, let's be clear.

More ignorant Christians who don't study much and white Christians (in general, but not all) have done most of the harm. When the sincere and studying harm, we tend to do so by accident and work to ensure that we do not do so again.

Meanwhile, many wear the label but don't fit the role. It's an unfortunate truth that we as a whole tend to bear the burden of because of the ignorant, the extremeist, and the arrogant and prideful among us.

I can't help it, but agree to your statement.
That is what is happening and why a lot of people has
left the church and religion alone.
Many people that I look up to in the church just say, "what the heck?"
    and abruptly stop attending.
I am like that now; I don't care much to attend or visit a church
or follow a particular religious faith.
Seeing firsthand, how lowly and dirty they treat their day 1's
made me take a deep look at is it really worth my time to attend?
