Since I am cognizant of who and what I am,
I have no excuse not to aspire beyond the reach
of commonality, the traditional and the accepted risk.
It is my duty to introduce new gods as we kill the old gods
while preparing to undermine the new gods we set to praise.

Old gods die hard and drag true believers along
the paths of knowledge, the treasure of discovery
and finally, into the steep halls of learning and wisdom.
Gods do not pass silently into distant memory or dusty history,
as they adhere to every potential believer to avoid annihilation
but in the end, the gods all die, slain by the new and sparkling
sword of progress, self-awareness and innate intelligence.
